(Some say she more closely resembled Grumpy.) The Speaker is claiming she will not remove the provision from the bill. Biden sends bombers into Syria targeting Iranian militias Headline: Biden orders US strikes on Iranian-backed militia facilities in Syria​ The First take: Just 36 days into the Biden presidency and American military might was used against an Iranian-backed militia group in Syria. The response follows a series of attacks on Americans in the region, all committed by Hezbollah militia reportedly funded by Iran. President Biden and his team must now try to balance their nuclear negotiations with sending a strong and tough message to the Islamic Republic about not messing with our people and assets in the region. We're paying close attention to this one (and you should too). Now Obama is OK with reparations for all Blacks in America  Headline: Obama says ALL black Americans should get reparations because country was ‘built on the backs of slaves’  The First take: Former President Obama's latest podcast with Bruce Springsteen took an odd turn when the conversation focused on the payment of reparations to black people for America's past history with slavery. We found it curious that America's first Black President did not address the topic during his two terms in office...the first which began with a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate. Of course, Obama claimed the "white resistance" prevented him from even talking about it. Sure... sure. GET  THE STORY

Woke Olympics Award: Mr. Potato Head loses his gender, sort of... Headline: Classic kids toy Mr. Potato Head gets new, gender-neutral name The First take: We're going to need a chiropractor after all the head-shaking this story has caused. Hasbro's "half-baked" idea (potato pun intended) has certainly brought a sackful of media attention to the 70-year-old toy -- although, not all of it was positive. Shortly after the outrage swarmed social and traditional news media, the company told everyone Mr. & Mrs. Potato Head were safe, only the packaging was changing.
