Dear Conservatives,

Millions of Americans are unemployed. State and local governments are under tremendous financial pressure, much of which is caused by having to providehundreds of billions of dollars in benefits to illegal immigrants and their families. The Obama Administration is slashing funding for border enforcement, and instead of covering this outrage and the financial burden caused by illegal immigration, the liberal media prefer to generate sympathy for those that are breaking the law.

Republican presidential hopeful Newt Gingrich is revealing more of his approach to taking on illegal immigration during his three-day swing through South Carolina where the Justice Department has already filed a lawsuit against the state’s new immigration law.

During a town hall, the former House Speaker declared that, as president , he would block federal funds to any city that “declared itself a sanctuary” for illegal immigrants and that if UPS and FedEx can keep track of millions of packages a day, the government should be able to track illegal immigrants in the country. He also told the crowd that “No American president has the right to side with foreigners.” We couldn’t agree more.

Cain gives a foreign policy speech at 7 p.m. at Hillsdale College in Michigan. Besides his appearance with the Cuban-American leaders, Romney has two fundraisers in Florida. Perry will campaign with Sheriff Joe Arpaio in Hudson, N.H. Huntsman has a town hall in Nashua and a house party in Concord. In South Carolina, Gingrich tours a Christian school on Hilton Head Island, visits his campaign office in Bluffton, and finishes the day with a town hall in Newberry. Santorum stumps in Georgia.

Hmm, not a single campaign stop by any of the Republican candidates here in the “First in the West/Fifth in the Nation” state? Go figure.

NLRB REWRITING UNION RULES TO ALLOW CARD CHECK! THIS IS UNCONSTITUTIONAL

Dear Friends,

Once again, the National Labor Relations Board is rewriting union election rules to disenfranchise workers, silence employers, and aid Big Labor. After an intentionally hastened rulemaking process, the two Democrat NLRB appointees are trying to ram through the dangerous Ambush Election rule.

The proposed ambush election rule would shorten the amount of time between when a union calls an election, and when that election is actually held. Employers are currently afforded, on average, 31 days to educate their employees about the pros and cons of unionization. Effectively silencing an employer, the NLRB rule would allow the NLRB to hold an election only ten days after the union informs the employer of intent to unionize.

More importantly, this will give workers an insufficient amount of time to consider joining a union. When workers cast their ballot, they will do so having heard one side of the story—the unions.
