Although Anita and I are in Israel with a group of Liberty Ambassador Counsel members, we are very much aware that President Obama and his administration are embroiled in a series of scandals unlike any we have seen before. 

 

The entire world is fully aware the United States has unreliable leadership and that the greatest bastion of liberty in history is slipping into the clutches of a socialist tyranny.  

 

Here in Israel, the only democracy in the region, the people are particularly interested in how the crisis in American leadership will be resolved.

 

Seven months after his reelection and just a year before the 2014 mid-term elections, the President is hoping that by this time next year Americans will have forgotten and forgiven, much like the “Fast and Furious” scandal was defused before the 2012 elections.   

 

Meanwhile, Barack Obama and his administration continue to place sycophants in key positions of authority to forward their radical agenda.  Included among the strategic placements of proven leftists is Thomas E. Perez, the President’s nominee to head the Department of Labor.

 

Perez has been called the most radical Cabinet nominee in decades.    

 

If confirmed as Secretary of Labor, Thomas Perez will be responsible for enforcing the “employer mandate” of ObamaCare.

Senate panel OKs tax-welfare benefits for newly legal immigrants  The Senate Judiciary Committee voted this week to allow illegal immigrants who get legal status to begin collecting tax-welfare payments, as the panel spent a fourth day working through amendments to the massive immigration bill and party-line splits began to emerge. In one major change, the committee voted 17-1 to make a third drunken-driving conviction a deportable offense for the newly legalized immigrants if at least one of those offenses occurs after they are approved for legal status. One would be hard-pressed to select the most corrupt Presidential administration in US history. Over time, both Democrat and Republican administrations have a track record littered with all kinds of corruption, scandal, malfeasance, dishonesty, and unconstitutional conduct. Out of all of them, only two Presidents have been impeached: Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton, both Democrats. Neither of them were convicted of the charges and removed from office. A third President, Republican Richard Nixon, would almost certainly have been impeached had he not resigned first.

Andrew Johnson’s impeachment was doubtless the most politically-motivated impeachment of a President in US history. He was impeached by radical Republicans who were angry at Johnson’s mild and temperate approach to reconstruction after the assassination of Abraham Lincoln and surrender of Southern forces. Specifically, Johnson was impeached for violating the Tenure of Office Act in 1867, which forbade the President from dismissing office holders without the Senate’s approval. The Act was ruled unconstitutional in 1926.

Will the Lone Star State crack down on conservative groups, too?   One of the big Obama scandals recently has been the IRS targeting of politically conservative groups.   No one was overly surprised to see that the President brought his Chicago-style politics to Washington, and that his administration has been targeting their political opponents.    But what is surprising is that the state of Texas might follow suit.   The bill in question is SB 346 and it is currently sitting on Governor Rick Perry’s desk.  It is imperative that people call Perry immediately (at 512-463-2000) and ask him to VETO this dangerous bill.   The bill is introduced by Sen. Kel Seliger in the Senate and Rep. Charlie Geren in the House.  SB 346 could require Gun Owners of America — and other gun groups that you support — to disclose their donors’ names.

Missouri 's approach to the problem of illegal immigration appears to be more advanced, sophisticated, strict and effective than anything to date in Arizona . Does the White House appreciate what Missouri has done? So, why doesn't Missouri receive attention? Answer: There are no illegals in Missouri to demonstrate.

According to George Knapp’s column in this week’s issue of CityLife, Channel 8 reporter Nathan Baca was interviewing former Democrat U.S. Senate candidateByron Georgiou about his scheme to get local governments to abuse their eminent domain powers to seize homes of certain people who are underwater on the value of their property but are current on their payments and turning the property over to an investment group for a dirt-cheap price.

Georgiou told Baca he was calling this new form of “land scam” the “Community Resolution Assistance Program” – until Baca pointed out what the acronym was.

I’m assuming Georgiou and his group of property raiders has since changed the name of their scheme, but to us the proposal will always be CRAP!

You can count the number of philosophical, as opposed to rhetorical, conservatives serving in this year’s Nevada Legislature on one hand.  Assemblywoman Michele Fiore (R-Las Vegas) is one of them.  Alas, the freshman has proved to be quite the Jekyll-and-Hyde conservative.

When Fiore has been right – as with her campus carry bill – she has been very, very right.  But when she’s been wrong – breaking her signed Taxpayer Protection Pledge by voting to raise the sales tax in Clark County as a payback to the cops union for supporting her campus carry bill – she’s been very, very wrong.

Maxine Waters Confirms Big Brother_ Database 2013

“The President has put in place an organization with the kind of database that no one has ever seen before in life,” Representative Maxine Waters told Roland Martin on Monday. “That’s going to be very, very powerful,” Waters said. “That database will have information about everything on every individual on ways that it’s never been done before and whoever runs for President on the Democratic ticket has to deal with that. 1.  It’s the ‘Wacko Birds’ vs. the Wackos Again

If I were granted one wish about the state of today’s politics it would be for the Democrats to be saddled with their own version of John McCain.  Once again, McCain is working to score points for Democrats and undermine Cruz/Paul and Lee – the “Wacko Birds” – in their attempt to prevent a free debt ceiling increase.

Back in January, Republicans and conservatives got together at Williamsburg and agreed to “suspend” the debt ceiling law until May 18 in return for the Senate passing a budget.  I never liked the idea because, among other reasons, a Senate-passed budget is not such a good thing.  Yes, they are not so excited about publicizing their blueprint for more debt, and yes, the fact that they didn’t pass a budget for over 3 years was a good talking point.  But do we really want them to have a vehicle for fast-tracking tax increases, debt ceiling increases, and other nefarious policies through reconciliation?
