Arizona residents:

 

The pending redistricting is an important issue for conservatives in our state.

We must pay close attention to what is happening.

   

I've been working on getting this information out sooner; but I am in a real time crunch.

I tried to include what I felt was important but without overwhelming anyone.

 

There are three  attachments:  One is from Russell Pearce (Ten Rules for redistricting);

the second  is a schedule of public meetings to take place.   It would be advisable for

you to check ahead to verify that the meeting will take place. Some of the meetings have obviously already taken place; I plan to  attend the one in Phoenix.

The Coming Global Instability, Part II

Systemic causes of global financial instability include the “normalcy bias,” super-low interest rates, central-bank induced inflation and loss of faith in institutions. Some causal factors of global financial instability are mental constructs, others are pernicious policies. Money is the ultimate mental construct, of course; it is our faith in the promises issued by central banks and governments that gives paper money its value. The same can be said of markets: it is our faith in their transparency which makes them “free markets.” Once we discern that a market is manipulated, then we lose trust in it and exit that market for good.

What the authors may not realize is that GDP doesn't mean what people think it does. With all those borrowed dollars added in, it does not mean the kind of economic growth that generates jobs. If you had borrowed $200,000 from the bank to buy a house, and you had only paid a $5000 down payment and nothing toward the mortgage, you might be able to list the full $200,000 as part of your assets, but your creditors would not accept that as fact. Your actual equity in the house would be $5000.

But our government does that with GDP. It includes the full amount borrowed -- an amount that in no way indicates economic growth -- as part of the stated GDP. This is why each administration tries to borrow as much as it can, because the borrowed amount is added into GDP and the government can say to the public: "Look, we grew the economy." NO THEY DIDN'T. What they really did was jeopardize the economy and add an unconscionable burden to your and your children's debt.

So while this is total nonsense, they get away with it because even "conservative" news outlets like Newsmax report the GDP without breaking out the part that is borrowed.

The true GDP without this borrowed money is much less and the "growth" is actually negative and increasingly indicative of the coming collapse.

When the market figures out how phony this whole scenario is, people will stop lending to the US and we will be forced to live within our means. Then we can start to recover and truly grow the economy. If we haven't forgotten how.

LAY THE BLAME TRUTHFULLY - MY LETTER 'TO THE EDITOR'

How are Republicans to blame?

I am reading news reports from around the nation and hearing of the American public blaming the Republicans for not doing enough to raise the Debt Ceiling.

To be totally honest I cannot imagine why this is the case.

May I ask  : Which Party has put forth Bill after Bill giving solutions as even passing them in the House of Representatives. When these Bills are presented to the U.S. Senate Harry Reid, as Senate Majority Leader, first derides the Bill then refuses any debate as well as refusing any Amendments to be offered to clear up any all objections to such Bills.

Then Obama and Reid scream loudly saying, "The Republicans refuse to negotiate or to compromise to get things rolling."

That is astounding! Especially when the news media then accuses the Republicans of failure to negotiate.

The Democrat type of negotiation  and compromise demand is like being robbed and objecting to the robbery and being told, "I'll give you half of your money back. but I will be back tomorrow to rob you again." Ask yourself, 'Is this a negotiation and compromise you would want to be part of?' 

The very purpose of a two-Party system is debate, amend, and agreement. Harry Reid and his cohort, Nancy Pelosi, have turned Congress into a sick joke. Is it any wonder their ratings (Congress) are lower than whale excrement. Folks, whales live in very deep oceans. 

In November 2010 America voted for a real change to stop runaway spending and runaway taxation. Each Bill offered by the Republicans offers just that. Hold those truly responsible to derision not who the offenders want you to think!
