So Donald Trump suggests that a judge hearing a lawsuit against him might be biased because the judge is of Mexican heritage and Trump has famously called for building a very controversial wall on the border between Mexico and the United States.

The howls of outrage have been thunderous.  Such a suggestion, we’re told, is RACIST.  I mean, you can’t say a person might be biased just because of their race, right?

Indeed, House Speaker and closet #NeverTrumper Paul Ryan (R-K Street) publicly called Trump’s observations about the judge a “textbook definition of racist.” 

Then, um, how do you explain this?

Health and Human Services Secretary Sylvia Mathews Burwell explained that pressuring private companies into lowering sodium levels is "about putting power back in the hands of consumers." Of course, consumers already have an array of bland, low-sodium choices, if they desire. But in progressive-speak, limiting choices is tantamount to attaining power. According to our government, consumers having too many choices means "the deck has been stacked against them."
