Dear Conservatives,
During the onset of the “Arab Spring,” Brigitte Gabriel, ACT! for America president, warned that this would lead to Muslim Brotherhood control of Egypt.
Sadly, the Obama administration and many in the media and academia dismissively ignored such warnings.
With Egyptian President Muhammad Morsi assuming total power, unaccountable to either the judiciary or Parliament, Egypt stands on the brink of becoming a sharia-governed Islamist state.
Bad news for Israel. Bad news for the West. And bad news for every Egyptian who doesn’t want to live under sharia law. Just because a country has democratic elections doesn’t ensure it will have a democracy.

At the same time, worthy projects that went through a complete due diligence process were denied or ultimately withdrawn, as the lengthy approval process “taxed investors’ patience”—as was the case with Aptera Motors, which worked closely with the DOE for two years. Paul Wilbur, President and CEO at Aptera, didn’t think they were treated unfairly. He told me, “At the end of the day, we couldn’t get through the process.” But, he admits, he hasn’t read the emails.
