Romney Should Sue Harry Reid For Slander

Win or lose, after this election is over Mitt Romney should sue Harry Reid for slander and defamation of character.

The only way these Democrats will learn that you can’t get away with a baldfaced lie and dismiss it as “political hardball” is if they are forced to suffer the consequences.

Harry Reid made a bold allegation. He said that he has an anonymous source who claims that he knows that Romney paid no taxes for ten years.

Reid wasn’t very specific. There are two ways a person can avoid paying taxes. Evasion, which is a crime or by taking lawful deductions which cancel out any tax liability which is entirely legal.

The way Reid stated it, it sounds like he’s accusing Romney of criminal tax evasion.

By suing Reid for slander, Reid would be compelled under oath and the rules of discovery to identify his anonymous source.

Reid is not a journalist and can not claim “freedom of the press” in protecting his source. He must give up the person’s name or be held in contempt and risk prison time.

Commentary: Gary Tuchman is an embarassment to any network, even CNN. Below, he hits on a woman asking why she doesn't like Mr. Obama or such. And she says she feels he wasn't born in the USA. To which, living up to his name, he tries to pull the "cloth" over her eyes by saying, "Well, he says he was born in the USA". Well. Mr.Tuchman, how would he know? He did not witness his own birth. She could have said, "Well he has yet to produce his OWN valid, rightly-certified as such, "Original Hawaiian Birth Certificate". So, Mr. Tuchman, how do you know that he was born in the USA? This is big. Just yesterday I heard a political party leader on Deutsche Welle (German language TV) say, in regard to the Syrian problem, that Christian refugees from Syria would fit in well with German culture. To me, that signaled a sea change. This news (below) confirms it.

I had never heard a Western politician (US or European) ever talk that boldly before. We have been told that we must treat people of all faiths equally. Muslims rioting have been reported as 'rioting young people.' This is a sharp break with the past tradition of carrying the water for the religion of violence and blaming Christians in conflicts between them and others. Let us hope Germans -- and then other nations --become increasingly boldened to tell the truth.

THE LIBERTARIAN FACTOR

As I’ve been saying for years, the GOP’s failure to live up to their stated limited-government beliefs often results in conservatives voting for Libertarian Party alternatives who might be on the ballot, thus “spoiling” the race for the Republican candidate.

Between the fact that the LP put forward its most credible presidential candidate in history this year – former New Mexico Gov. Gary Johnson – and the dissatisfaction on Ron Paul supporters who establishment Republicans used them like a door mat (again) this cycle, it now appears that Libertarian candidates may very well have cost the GOP at least nine major races in this year’s elections.

Again, I’ll point out the stupidity of Republicans devoting so much time and attention to reaching out to constituencies that are diametrically opposed to the GOP message rather than reaching out to “base” voters they’re losing who are already predisposed to agree with them philosophically.

And THAT’S why they continue to lose so many otherwise winnable races.

Good things just keep coming out of Texas.

Not only did several new pro-life candidates come out ahead in the recent election, with the victories of Ted Cruz, Steve Stockman and others, but Texas pro-lifers have made another huge step forward in cutting off taxpayer funding of abortion.

You may remember hearing about the showdown that began earlier this year between Planned Parenthood and the Texas legislature.

It all started when the Texas legislature, backed by NPLA members and other pro-lifers, voted to cut Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers from the state-funded healthcare plan designed for low-income women.

While pro-lifers rejoiced, Planned Parenthood threw a fit and appealed to their friends in the White House, demanding that the funding be reinstated.

In response, Kathleen Sebelius, Obama's Secretary of Health and Human Services, gave Texas an ultimatum:

As Middle East violence escalates, over half of Israel’s population is now under fire from terrorist rockets. The latest reports indicate that more than 50 rockets – some of them Iranian-made Fajr-5 long range missiles – have been fired today alone. Israel’s most populous city, Tel Aviv, is among the targets and today even Jerusalem came under the crosshairs.

America’s mainstream media ignored the barrage of rockets launched by Hamas into Israel that came on the heels of Barack Obama’s reelection. But Israel’s responsive attack a week later that took out Hamas military leader Ahmed Jabari is getting major attention, as are the Israeli Air Force’s (IAF) attacks on missile silos and other military targets in and around Gaza City.

This is outrageous hypocrisy on the part of America’s leftist media! Israel is suffering war-like conditions!

Even in Tel Aviv, which has not come under fire since the first Gulf War in 1990–91, air raid sirens are almost continuously blaring as frightened Israeli men, women, and children are forced to stay under cover.

There has been much talk of late about America’s “fiscal cliff.” As troubling as our impending (Obama-spurred) economic collapse may be – and it is more troubling than even our most pessimistic economists are willing to admit – I’m even more concerned about fast-mounting tensions worldwide.

As so often is the case, the hurricane swirls around the Middle East.

Historically, the president of the United States has captained the ship. He has, heretofore, been duly regarded “leader of the free world.”

I heard Geraldo Rivera refer to Gen. Petraeus as “An American Napoleon.” No, he was not the Emperor, he was Marshal Peter Ney, who served the Emperor. And like Ney, will be shot. (Unless you believe the theory that Ney escaped to America and lived out his life as a school teacher in NC, for which there is some evidence.) Why any military person would accept a civilian position in the Obama administration, knowing that you will likely be sacrificed to political expediency or required to lie for it, is beyond me. Duty or ambition, I guess. I wonder if Mrs. Petraeus has been able to resist using the MoveOn.org slur, “General Betray-us.”
