We were wrong.

We were wrong about the turnout.

We were wrong about the makeup of the electorate.

We were wrong about the advertising mix and message that would work.

We were wrong about the effectiveness of President Obama’s turnout mechanism.

The simple fact is Republicans spent more and achieved less than Democrats in 2012.

This was not just a personal defeat for Governor Mitt Romney and Congressman Paul Ryan.

We lost Senate seats we should have won in North Dakota and Montana.

We lost Senate seats we might have won in Ohio, Florida, Wisconsin, Virginia, New Mexico, and Massachusetts.

We had two candidates throw away Senate seats in Indiana and Missouri.

In 2010, we had three candidates throw away Senate seats in Colorado, Delaware, and Nevada. Why have the Democrats not suffered similarly from candidate missteps (as in Massachusetts)?

We had a chance to pick up four governorships. We won one (North Carolina) and lost three (Montana, New Hampshire and Washington)

The GOP Can Not Legally Help Stop Vote Fraud, No Joke

My good friend Alan Vera of True the Vote told me long ago that we have a two party system: the Corrupt Party and the Stupid Party. To that fact, during the weekly True the Vote webcast, Catherine Engelbrecht related a meeting she had with RNC Chairman Reince Priebus, asking what the GOP would do about voter integrity. The answer?

Nothing. They aren’t legally able to. (I’m not joking.)

As part of a lawsuit settlement with the Democrat Party, the Gutless Old Party agreed to not engage in any voter protection initiatives. Two of the clauses read this way:

(e) refrain from undertaking any ballot security activities in polling places or election districts where the racial or ethnic composition of such districts is a factor in the decision to conduct, or the actual conduct of, such activities there and where a purpose or significant effect of such activities is to deter qualified voters from voting; and the conduct of such activities disproportionately in or directed toward districts that have a substantial proportion of racial or ethnic populations shall be considered relevant evidence of the existence of such a factor and purpose;

(f) refrain from having private personnel deputized as law enforcement personnel in connection with ballot security activities.

ALABAMA REJECTS OBAMACARE

    We the People of Alabama reject obamacare, period. The voters of Alabama rejected it on November 6^th and now Alabama Governor Bentley has said he will not establish the healthcare exchange for Alabama.

            The people of Alabama have spoken. If more states did the same, obamacare would be rendered null and void. The whiners in Alabama who want the government making their healthcare decisions are free to move to another state.

NEVADA - MICHELE FIORE WANTS YOUR INPUT...

Friends,   It is hard to believe it is just over a week since the election, and I'm already hard at work as the Assemblywoman-elect! Last week, I had the privilege of joining my fellow Republican Assembly Members in Carson City for our first Caucus meeting. I'm thankful that they are so welcoming, and I look forward to working together.  I'm also hard at work preparing to submit my bill draft requests (BDRs).
