Imagine a scenario in which President Franklin Roosevelt had nominated a Nazi sympathizer as the head of our intelligence community during World War II.
That’s an absolutely absurd notion, isn’t it?
Yet, President Barrack Obama, while engaged in the War on Terror which was initiated by radical Muslim organizations, has chosen a proven Islamic sympathizer, John Brennan, to head our Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).

Tomorrow, the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence is scheduled to vote on the Obama nomination. But the vote could be delayed by the actions of Senators Lindsey Graham and John McCain, who are both threatening to postpone the vote on Brennan unless more information is produced by the White House on the deadly Benghazi assault last September.

“If we are practicing Muslims, we are above the law of the land,” said Mustafa Carroll, executive director of the Dallas-Fort Worth CAIR branch.A Council on American-Islamic Relations leader told a crowd at a rally for Islam that members of the faith should not be bound by American law.
The rally in Austin was part of a nationwide effort to hold “Muslim Capitol Day” events.
According to the event website, Muslims from around Texas went to the capitol to “promote civic and political activism throughout the wider Muslim community.”
The organizers said one major issue discussed “was the recent House and Senate bill proposals involving the implementation of ‘anti-Shariah’ legislation, where the First Amendment rights and freedoms of Muslims would ultimately be hindered.”

As regular First Friday Happy Hour attendees know, we’ve been looking for a “perfect” new home for our monthly event for the last year and a half.
And for those who have asked “Why didn’t you just keep it at Stoney’s?” – let me just say it wasn’t our idea to leave and leave it at that.
But in moving the event from place to place ever since, we’ve learned several lessons:
1.) More people DON’T want it at a venue that allows smoking indoors than do.
2.) We need a private room. Sharing our event with others who are not part of our group caused problems for our speakers.

The Senate rejected Halligan’s nomination in the last Congress, but President Obama renominated her to the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals. We need you to call your Senators today and tell them to vote NO on Caitlin Halligan!

1. Defund Obamacare Now!
oHouse Republicans plan to bring a Continuing Resolution to the floor, which will fund the federal government for the rest of the fiscal year. If nothing is done to stop them, GOP leaders plan to put forth a clean CR that funds Obamacare. This is unacceptable.
With health insurance premiums skyrocketing, employers dumping workers from health plans, and new reports predicting trillions in new debt as a result of Obamacare, we must defund this behemoth before it fully takes effect next year. Many of the new members pledged to defund Obamacare, yet they have dithered for two years in the hopes that it would be struck down by the Supreme Court or that Republicans would win the White House.
