JERUSALEM – Questions remain about the Obama administration’s role in supplying arms to Libyan rebels as a United Nations report released this week reveals the weapons from Libya to extremists proliferating at an “alarming rate,” fueling conflicts in Mali, Syria, Gaza and elsewhere.

During the fight against Moammar Gadhafi’s regime in 2011, it was widely reported the Obama administration coordinated foreign arms shipments via cut outs to the Libyan rebels.

In December 2012, the New York Times reported that after discussions among members of the National Security Council, the Obama administration backed arms shipments to Libyan rebels from both Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.

Iowa Representative King Intends to "Repeal Everything" Obama has Signed

An Iowa congressman said on Tuesday that he will sue President Barack Obama over the executive’s decision to stop the deportation of certain young illegal immigrants. According to The Messenger, August 8, U.S. Representative Steve King told a audience at a Humboldt (Iowa) picnic, “I am bringing him to court and we're going to defend the Constitution of the United States and the separation of powers.'' The event was sponsored by the Humboldt County Republican Party.

King was referring to Obama’s signing of an executive order earlier this year halting the deportation of law-abiding illegal immigrants who arrived in the United States before age 17, but who are not yet 30. Qualifying immigrants must have completed high school or served in the military. A long-time opponent of amnesty, King said he’d made the decision to sue the president the day of the announcement. He believes Obama violated the Constitution in issuing the executive order, since such a program should be created only through the congressional process, but a lawsuit must be filed before Labor Day, according to King. The Hill stated that under the policy change, immigrants will enjoy two a two-year deferral.

We know that the Secret Service, in tandem with the National Security Council perform joint drills for such emergencies such as this. The Secret Service, among others, possess very specific logs from that night that could provide answers. Why has no one with the authority to do so requested a full accounting of Obama’slocation and activities?

Interestingly, Hillary Rodham Clinton’s apparent powers of clairvoyance nearly a half-decade before Benghazi is being ignored rather than celebrated, and questions, much like an incessantly ringing telephone, are being diverted instead of answered.

The missing 18 1/2 hours

Perhaps it was fate that placed a much younger Hillary Rodham to serve on the staff assembled for the impeachment of former President Nixon. Students of history know that her activities in this position were not themselves without scandal, but that is another issue for another time. Nonetheless, the outrage caused by the infamous 18 1/2 minute gap of audio of conversations between Nixon and others in the Oval Office during a critical time of high level discussions between Nixon and his closest aides was pivotal in the impeachment proceedings.

THE INCREDIBLE, AMAZING, UNBELIEVABLE ASSEMBLY GOP EPIC FAIL

As someone who has been chronicling and documenting the GOP’s unending penchant for never blowing an opportunity to blow an opportunity for over two decades now, even I was stunned and incredulous at how Assembly Republicans unbelievably tanked a slam-dunk opportunity Friday night.

Let’s set the stage…

1.) There is no issue of greater import facing Nevada’s Legislature than education. Period.  You fix the education mess we have and so many other problems fix themselves, including economic and crime.

2.) You don’t fix the education problem by throwing more money down the rathole. The only way to improve education on a massive scale is to give parents far more choices that do not involve the anti-education teachers union.

3.) The Nevada Legislature is controlled by Democrats in both the upper and lower house; therefore, passing any true education reform proposal that includes greater parental choice without costing more money would be a rare, rare, rare, rare, rare opportunity in this political climate.
