This topic of The Reformation is one that has held my attention since I was a little girl, occasionally attending St. Stanislaus Catholic Church (built by Polish immigrants in Winona MN) while living with my grandma.  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Basilica_of_Saint_Stanislaus_Kostka      It made no sense to me for the *sermon* to be given in Latin as I didn't think many hearing it understood Latin.  As I grew I figured it was in Latin so that the congregation WOULDN'T understand what was being said.  That opinion has held true to this day for me.  It was the beginning of my unfavorable opinion of the Catholic Church, that and the other false teachings I have observed over my lifetime.  I know that will irritate a lot of the Catholics on the WGEN list but as I have stated many times, Check the *teachings* (indoctrinations) with the Bible - is it WRITTEN in the Bible or is it simply Denominational doctrine as it is with numerous other denominations?  Sort of like how the US Constitution has been twisted to entirely different meanings than what the Founding Fathers created.
