The media LOVES Obama, and his policies are very similar to Clinton's-so how do you explain Clinton's soaring popularity? NBC says, "He [Clinton] no longer remains a GOP target. In the survey, 47 percent of Republicans view the ex-president negatively, compared with 78 percent of them who view Obama negatively."

In other words, Clinton has slid off the radar screen.

Let's put him back on it.

This prompted House Majority Leader Eric Cantor’s (R-Va.) unusually early announcement that a vote on funding the government for the rest of Fiscal Year 2011 will be on or around February 14.

In the videos, a couple posing as a pimp and lead prostitute explain to clinic staff that they run a prostitution ring comprising little girls, mainly minorities under the age of 15, who were smuggled into the country for “sex work.” Without batting an eye, staff at both Planned Parenthood clinics explained how their clinic could help the “pimp” circumvent child molestation, abortion and immigration laws. In New Jersey, the Planned Parenthood manager goes so far as to instruct the “pimp” to get his “girls” to lie about their ages and immigration status on any paperwork in case the office gets audited. She goes on to encourage the pimp’s lead prostitute to come with the underage girls apparently to ensure the child sex slaves don’t talk out of turn. She even tells the pimp his “girls” can go back to prostitution immediately after an abortion as long as they only work from “the waist up.” How to bribe Planned Parenthood staff to get these underage “working” girls moved up on busy clinic schedules for abortions is also negotiated.

Excerpt: The Federal Reserve is supposed to be a monetary servant, but its masters in the general public don't seem to be able to control it. Its actions keep distorting returns in the economy and creating bubble after bubble. Since past expansionary monetary policies led to bubbles, we should expect the even more expansionary policies pursued since the onset of the current financial crisis to produce new bubbles, and this is exactly what we find. Within the United States there are at least three very obvious bubbles currently in full swing, each fuelled by the flood of cheap money: Treasury bonds, financial stocks, and junk bonds. We can be confident that these bubbles will come to unpleasant ends like their predecessors, but on a potentially much grander scale. The bubbles will then burst in quick succession. We have to consider also the nontrivial knock-on effects: the Treasuries collapse will trigger an immediate financing crisis for governments at all levels, and especially for the federal government, one that will likely involve the downgrading of its AAA credit rating, and so further intensify the government's by-then already chronic financing problems. Nor should we forget that these financial tsunamis are likely to overwhelm the Federal Reserve itself: the Fed has a highly leveraged balance sheet that would do any aggressive hedge fund proud; it too will therefore suffer horrendous losses and is likely to become insolvent. BRIGHTON, Colo. -- A 23-year-old Brighton man has been fighting five years to replace a Social Security number that has been fraudulently used by an illegal immigrant since 2003, according to police and state tax officials.
The Social Security Administration has twice denied his request for a new number, saying his credit has not been damaged by the identify thief, said Joe and his mom, Tina. The family doesn't want their last name used because they fear retaliation from the identity thief, who remains at large.
But Joe's Social Security theft nightmare, which started when his number was stolen at age 15, has created myriad other problems.

Virginia Democratic Sen. Webb to Retire from Senate After One Term

First-term Democratic Sen. Jim Webb of Virginia will retire when his term ends next year.
Webb made the announcement Wednesday in an e-mail, saying, "After much thought and consideration I have decided to return to the private sector, where I have spent most of my professional life."
Webb did not attend the issues retreat with his Senate Democratic colleagues currently taking place in Charlottesville. His spokesman, Will Jenkins, said the senator will have no public events.
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid called Webb, a former Navy secretary, a "true American patriot."
"The Senate as in his other endeavors, Senator Webb's advocacy has been grounded in his deeply held convictions, especially when it comes to ensuring that all hard-working people have the chance to build a better life, keeping America safe and our military strong. He will be missed, and I hope that he continues to be involved in American politics. Our country will be the better for it," Reid said in a written statement.
Webb's decision leaves Democrats with the daunting prospect of finding a viable candidate to run in what will be a very hot senate race in the Old Dominion. On the Republican side, former Virginia Gov. and Sen. George Allen has already announced his intentions to recapture the seat Webb took away from him in 2006 in a razor-thin victory.

House Republicans have proposed cutting or eliminating dozens of government programs as part of a plan they say will save up to $74 billion, kicking off what is sure to be a vigorous debate on Capitol Hill over what to keep and what to slash.

Offering a first glimpse of the specifics Republicans have in mind to rein in spending, House Appropriations Committee Chairman Hal Rogers, R-Ky., on Tuesday released a partial list of 70 spending cuts included as part of the GOP's budget proposal for funding the government through the end of the fiscal year.

The cuts go after common conservative targets, including the Environmental Protection Agency and Amtrak, but also cover everything from law enforcement to NASA. The proposal was released ahead of a private meeting between Republican House leaders and President Obama.

House Transportation Committee Chair Rep. John Mica (R) of Florida said previous administration grants to high-speed rail projects were a failure, producing "snail speed trains to nowhere." Meanwhile, Railroads Subcommittee Chair Rep. Bill Shuster (R) of Pennsylvania said Mr. Biden's plan was "insanity," adding: "Rail projects that are not economically sound will not 'win the future' " – coopting the slogan President Obama coined in his State of the Union address.

An attorney who has aggressively pursued the release of President Obama's Hawaii long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate filed a complaint in federal court yesterday to force the release of Obama's Social Security files.

"I'm not asking for Obama's Social Security number," Attorney Orly Taitz told WND, acknowledging that the Social Security Administration will not release the number of a living person. "I want related information, including information about deceased individuals that will help us prove whether or not Obama has committed Social Security fraud."
