Rep. Jack Kingston (R-Ga.) has introduced legislation that would require individuals who file for the Child Tax Credit to have a valid Social Security number. Currently, individuals can use a Taxpayer Identification Number to file for and receive this credit. This allows hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens to receive this credit yearly -- costing U.S. taxpayers nearly $2 billion!
The Department of the Treasury recommended that a Social Security number be required to claim this credit, and Rep. Kingston's legislation, Child Tax Credit Integrity Preservation Act, would simply codify this recommendation.
Please send a fax to your U.S. Representative and urge him/her to support this legislation so that illegal aliens are not given tax-breaks reserved for U.S. citizens.

Since the Bolshevik Revolution, the clenched fist has been the left’s most visible symbol.
In the ‘60s, it adorned posters and buttons and was adopted as a symbol of revolution by SDS, the black power movement, feminists and other Trotsky wannabes here and abroad. Now, it’s been resurrected by some in Occupy Wall Street.
The symbolism couldn’t be more fitting. Fists are for smashing (institutions and traditions), bashing (heads) and pounding (square pegs into round holes).

MINNESOTA HAS WAKENED TO ILLEGAL ALIEN PROBLEM
MN JOINS SECURE COMMUNITIES PROGRAM
All 87 counties in Minnesota finally began participating last week in the federal immigration enforcement program known as Secure Communities. Minnesota is the 27th state to fully join the mandatory electronic data-gathering program used by the Department of Homeland Security to check the backgrounds of those booked into county jails.More than 110,000 illegal immigrants convicted of crimes – including more than 39,000 convicted of aggravated felonies – were deported through the program, which began in 2008.
All 50 states are expected to fully participate by 2012 despite the outcry by amnesty advocates and sanctuary states that claim the program wrongly targets illegal immigrants who have no felony records or criminal history aside from the obvious criminal history of illegally crossing the border.

Excerpt: One of the great disappointments in science over the past few years is the extent to which scientific organizations, which once proudly considers themselves independent, have succumbed to government policy, indeed have become agents of government policy. Once the leadership recognized scientists can have a wide range of opinions on a single issue, even a scientific issue, and zealously guarded this independence. Today, the leadership of many science societies have embraced the official global warming position of the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) – that climate change is unusual, which it is not, and that human are responsible for climate change, largely through emissions of carbon dioxide. The view represents an appalling ignorance of the earth’s climate history and fails to establish the scientific basis for the claim that atmospheric carbon dioxide causes substantial global warming.
