WE HAVE DOOM HOVERING OVER AMERICA!

When I was about five, my mother read this grim fairytale to me. I could not understand why simpleton Elsie didn't ask her husband, Hans, to remove the pickaxe stuck in the ceiling over the dinner table. Instead, she wept and fretted that the ax might drop and kill her son when eating. Hans seemed about as smart as a warm rock and did nothing. Elsie went nuts and ran away from her home and never seen again.
A modern analogy of this tale: For more than three years, a lethal weapon has been suspended from the roof of the 'the people's house'. The threat remains lodged in the top of the 'dome of power', but the bludgeon slowly slips from its slot. Among the elected Clever Elsie's, refused to remove the instrument in a timely manner. Neither did they hear nor listen to the warnings from the 'unwashed citizens', who retained the wisdom of a 5 year old child.
When was the last time the dome heads perused Self-Reliance by R. W. Emerson? Apparently, most of us have not the courage and truth from dirty faces of the boy in the man. Why do so many die young? They die young because they don't live long enough to become evil. JFK, MLK, and RFK are good examples.

MEXICAN RIGHTS GROUP URGES OVERTURN OF DEATH SENTENCES FOR 58 MEXICANS IN U.S. PRISONS
Seeing their opportunity with the Obama administration, Mexico’s National Human Rights Commission is pressuring its federal government to “intensify actions” to overturn the death sentences of 58 Mexican nationals currently held in U.S. prisons. The group stated, “The commission considers it necessary to intensify actions to avoid the death penalty in cases of Mexicans held in foreign prisons and to safeguard their rights to life, dignity and bodily integrity.”In July 2011, the Obama administration encouraged the U.S. Supreme Court to halt the execution of a Mexican national in Texas convicted of brutally raping and murdering a 16-year-old girl. Their argument: the sentence “would place the United States in irreparable breach of its international law obligation.” Fortunately, the Supreme Court denied the administration’s request by a 5 to 4 vote.
Citing “official figures”, the National Human Rights Commission of Mexico stated that “from 2000 to 2011, 745 Mexicans have benefited from a reversal of the death penalty in the U.S.

Voter ID laws have become a partisan issue on Capitol Hill and in state legislatures around the nation with the Left arguing that ID requirement is discriminatory of the poor and minorities who allegedly cannot reasonably be expected to have one while conservatives on the right argue that it is necessary to protect the sanctity of our electoral process given incidents of voter fraud in the past. The Right dismisses, for the most part, the claim that the ID requirements would be discriminatory since state issued ID is required to obtain basic services from obtaining a driver’s license or public health benefits to being issued a public library card. Removal from the bench varies by state. Usually state supreme court justices are appointed by governors. In November 2010, determined citizens in Iowa threw three of their Supreme Court Justices off the bench for their decision to allow a legal fiction called 'same sex marriage'.
