Comment: First of all, our sincerest compliments to those of you who "got it" and are participating in our national Natural Born Citizen Definition Poll. Many others stubbornly refuse and hide their heads in the ground trying to avoid it.  Well, YOU CAN'T. One way or another, YOU will have to face it. 

    That's why we're doing the NBC Poll on BOTH Congresscritters and readers/Patriots. So, if you're awake now, do provide us with YOUR own definition of NBC. This is not a legal test (no reference sources wanted).

    The writer below, however, makes some outrageously unsupported statements (and if anyone can get me his email, I will write him...Victor Garcia,Fox News Latino). We say this is a "plant" column.

    The point is, IF the definition was indeed settled, Sabato would not have said what he did (No matter how many try to convince others that their own definition is right.) Btw, some have asked what mine is.  There was only one person whose definition is closest to mine, almost word for word.

     What is troubling is that after 6 years, Garcia says the same ol'  unsubstantiated disinformation, in fact, he seems to be crafting his own form of revisionist history, such as:

1)-- and given that Cruz was born in Canada, it's unknown if he'd qualify for U.S. president.

<Unknown??? Not what from many of you said and what some congresscritters said. What's he snorting?

GIVING MINING THE SHAFT

(From yesterday’s Silver State Confidential) - OK, I haven’t looked deeply into the specifics and history of this protection clause the mining industry in Nevada enjoys thanks to a provision in the state constitution, but I’m starting to do my research and due diligence on the issue and will be sharing what I learn with you here.

In the meantime, this really isn’t a tough issue for conservatives…

The bottom line is that there’s some provision in the constitution which protects the mining industry from certain forms of taxation.  Liberals (and some misguided Republicans) want to remove that protection from the industry.  Why?  So they can tax the tar out of them, that’s why! 

This issue has absolutely, positively NOTHING to do with fairness and everything to do with finding yet another way to suck money out of the private sector and spend it on more government.  Period.

In fact, that’s EXACTLY what Sen. “Moderate Mike” Roberson has already proposed.  A $600 million tax increase on mining if the industry’s protection is stripped away.  And believe you me, that’ll only be the opening gambit.  Once mining is laid bare, legislative efforts to rape and pillage the industry will be relentless and non-stop!

Suspend Muslim Immigration, Muslim Military service, and Building of Mosques

Somebody has to be the first to say it.

It’s time, for the sake of the security of the United States of America, to immediately suspend Muslim immigration, to preclude Muslims from service in our military and to stop the building of mosques.

(The matters of Muslim military service and the building of mosques will need to be subjects of future columns.)

It should go without saying that I am speaking just for myself here. But these possibilities must be addressed and discussed in a sober fashion. The reality is that we will wind up doing these three things out of necessity if we do not do them out of wisdom. We need to make these adjustments before it’s too late rather than after it’s too late.

We should suspend Muslim immigration into the United States immediately. Why? Because Muslims bring with them a totalitarian ideology that calls for the submission of the United States to Islam and Sharia law.

WE ARE PAYING THESE PEOPLE TO BRING IN MORE TERRORISTS!

1.  Kim Strassel Again Serves as the Senate GOP’s Stenographer

Kim Strassel somewhat diplomatically lashes out at Senator Ted Cruz in the Wall Street Journal. Her subtitle sums up her point, which really isn’t worth delving too far into. The subtitle is, “The GOP is split between those who insist on making a point, and those who want to make some progress.”

Got that?

So Rand Paul, Mike Lee, and Ted Cruz want to make points and the Senate Republican leadership wants to make progress.  Nevermind that Cruz and company are the only ones putting points on the board for the GOP and, but for them and despite the spin, the GOP would have gone wobbly on gun control and Obamacare in the Senate.

As I noted yesterday, establishment Republicans complain about Rush Limbaugh and now Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, and Rand Paul, then run off to the Wall Street Journal editorial page to seek vengeance.

     As predicted, it didn’t take long for Chris Rodda to read last week’s write-up on the VMFA-122 Crusaders and manufacture some outrage.  She called the renaming of the unit from the recent “Werewolves” back to the “Crusaders” “sheer stupidity” and a “constitutional issue.”  Of course, everyone is aware of the clause in the Constitution that prohibits military units from having a cross on their patches.  It must be in there somewhere…she said so.
