UNBELIEVABLE ! UN GIVE IRAN PRESIDENT A POSITION OF AUTHORITY!
When members of the United Nations assembled to negotiate the framework of its gun-control treaty, they appointed Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's Iran to spearhead the effort. Of course, it didn't matter that the UNSecurity Council had just found Ahmadinejad's Iran guilty of illegally transferring guns and bombs to Syria... weapons that Syria used to murder thousands of its own people in cold blood.
It didn't matter to the UN because, as former UN Ambassador John Bolton recently said, the so-called UN Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) is not about regulating "international arms trade between nation states... the real agenda here is domestic firearms control,” and we're not about to sit back and let duplicitous politicians and third-world thugs get away with it.

Two U.S. Border Patrol agents were shot, one fatally, Tuesday morning in an area in south Arizona known as a major drug-smuggling corridor, authorities said.
The identities of the agents were not immediately released, but the shooting occurred at the Brian Terry Station near Naco, Ariz., which is just south of Tucson. The station was named after an agent who was killed in the line of duty in December 2010. The area is considered a remote part of the state and sources tell Fox News that the shooting occurred at 1:50 a.m. local time and about 8 miles from the border.
"This shooting is a tragic reminder of the dangers the brave men and women who guard our borders face every day."

The agents who were shot were on patrol with a third agent, who was not harmed, according to George McCubbin, president of the National Border Patrol Council, a union representing about 17,000 border patrol agents. The agents were on horseback at the time of the shooting.

1. Media Malpractice
I think I have been more than fair to the media and their polling. I accept that Romney is a bit behind, but acknowledge that a number of polls have a higher Democratic margin than the turn out in 2008. I think it is unfortunate that major media players would rather insult conservatives who take issue with that then explain why it is so and how they are arriving at their polling results.
I would note that there are a number of polls that show Romney a couple of points behind that have a more reasonable Democrat to Republican ratio. But I wish the media would explain, instead of insult conservatives, why there is such a gap. Last night on twitter, Chuck Todd was ridiculing people who believe there is a media conspiracy. Meanwhile, his own network has dragged its feet on coverage of the administration’s disastrous handling of Libya and, well, he works for MSNBC.
Perhaps instead of being insulting, he, a former staffer for Tom Harkin’s Presidential campaign and whose wife was or is a Democratic operative, should acknowledge conservative distrust of the media and try to explain how the polls are shaped, skewed, weighted or not, and the general methodology.
Along the lines of the media’s seeming outright contempt for voters, conservatives, and news consumers in general, we should look no further this morning than yesterday’s media malpractice by the Washington Post, yet again involving poll data. . . . please click here for the rest of the post →
