Modern Nuclear Power provides France with 70% of its current energy! France finally got something besides bread right.
The waste from a Modern Nuclear Power plant for a year's time could fit under my desk and is very low grade.
The U.S.A. built nearly 150 old style nuclear plants from the mid 1950's to the mid 1980's. That is averaging 5 new units a year! Today we were in the building process of 4, but that number just became 2 as the South Texas Projects (2 units) just lost its federal loan guarantee.
Modern Nuclear power is exceedingly safe and nothing like the Chernobyl or Three Mile Island old style reactors.
Today China is building over 1 plant a year!
Why is the U.S.A. not going to Modern Nuclear Power?
Liberal Environmentalists that have stopped ANWR, Solar Farms, Wind Farms, are also vehemently opposed to Modern Nuclear Power control the DOE and EPA and have bogged the U.S.A. down in the Federal Courts.
They know how green the technology is. Their problem is not with green power. Their true desire is to stop United States growth!

A leading member of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt told the Arabic-language Iranian news network Al-Alam on Monday that he would like to see the Egyptian people prepare for war against Israel, according to the Hebrew-language business newspaper Calcalist.
Muhammad Ghannem reportedly told Al- Alam that the Suez Canal should be closed immediately, and that the flow of gas from Egypt to Israel should cease “in order to bring about the downfall of the Mubarak regime.” He added that “the people should be prepared for war against Israel,” saying the world should understand that “the Egyptian people are prepared for anything to get rid of this regime.”
Ghannem praised Egyptian soldiers deployed by President Hosni Mubarak to Egyptian cities, saying they “would not kill their brothers.” He added that Washington was forced to abandon plans to help Mubarak stay in power after “seeing millions head for the streets.”

SINGAPORE — Oil prices hovered near $92 a barrel Tuesday in Asia as a chaotic power struggle in Egypt threatened the key crude Suez Canal choke point.
Opposition leaders are planning a massive street protest in Cairo on Tuesday in a bid to oust 82-year-old President Hosni Mubarak as an uprising against his 29-year rule begins its second week. As special agent in charge of Chicago's ATF field division, Traver called for a ban on semiautomatic firearms and misled the media on the facts about these weapons, even staging a bogus demonstration for the TV cameras to "prove" his point. Traver's biased anti-gun stance requires the American people to protest his continued presence in the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms. Traver is so anti-gun that even the anti-gun Democrats who would like to see your Second Amendment rights vanish were afraid to openly support his nomination for the job he is doing out of fear of voter backlash.

Last Friday was Day 4 of the ongoing protests in Egypt, where tens of thousands Egyptians took to the streets to demand the ouster of President Hosni Mubarak. As the situation reached a flash point, with a mounting death toll and Egyptian tanks in the streets of Cairo, President Obama maintained his silence. Well, not quite. He did Twitter, by proxy.
Around noon Friday, White House spokesman Robert Gibbs issued a 22-word statement on Twitter: "Very concerned about violence in Egypt - government must respect the rights of the Egyptian people & turn on social networking and internet." The White House also informed the media that Obama had received a forty-minute briefing on the situation. Phew!
Plymouth-Canton School District Allows Ceremonial Dagger

The decision by the Plymouth-Canton Community Schools reverses a ban put in place in December after a fourth-grader at a Canton Township elementary school was found with a dull, 3- to 5-inch kirpan.
FOX 2's Robin Schwartz reports the kirpan represents a commitment to fight evil . After males are baptized, members of the faith, which originated in South Asia in the 15th century, are expected to carry the symbol all the time.
The principal initially let the boy keep the kirpan, but the school board instituted a ban because of parental concerns and conflicts with the district's rules against bringing weapons to school.

Comment by LSGIII: While it is great that a religious symbol that represents a commitment to fight evil, it is amazing that an Eagle Scout cannot have a multi-facet Swiss Army Knife. The double standard by the leftist school boards is appalling. I don't want my child un-armed while others are walking around with 3-5 inch daggers.
