The GOP Needs to Stop Compromising and start Looking for the Next Conservative President by lisarichardsusa

The GOP is not shy of Republican presidential candidates, and the GOP race is not lacking a few conservatives, but, the GOP doesn’t seem to want a conservative to replace President Obama. And therein lay the problem for Conservative Republican voters. The GOP needs to stop pushing for Democrats in GOP clothing as the presidential nominee and start looking for the next conservative president.

The GOP and Republican voters have a had a longing to reelect Ronald Reagan since 1988. Why shouldn’t Republicans, Reagan was a Conservative Republican who rescued this country from the disastrous four years of Jimmy Carter's taxation and inflation. Reagan's immigration amnesty policy was wrong, as are some other Republican candidates on this issue, but Reagan is still the twentieth-century’s Conservative Republican’s pride. Not to mention, Reagan had a following of Democrats still known as “Reagan Democrats.”

Lawmakers have tried to get around the moratorium by promising to allow other groups to compete for the funds. But the legislative language is so narrowly tailored that critics consider the practice to be earmarking by another name.

Tens Of Millions Of American Families Are Living On The Edge Of Desperation – And The Economy Is About To Get A Whole Lot Worse

Have you ever been so poor that you had to live in your car?  Have you ever been so low on funds that the only place you could afford to live was a rat-infested motel?  Have you ever spent a night living in a tent city or sleeping in the streets?  If not, you should consider yourself to be very fortunate.  As the recent Black Friday madness demonstrated, there are still lots of Americans that are doing well enough to go on wild shopping sprees, but the reality is that there are also millions of American families that are falling through the "safety net" to a place of total desperation.  In a previous article I talked about the fact that the U.S. Census Bureau recently announced that a higher percentage of Americans is living in extreme poverty than has ever been measured before.  Not only that, 2.6 million more Americans fell into poverty last year.  That was also a new all-time record.  As you read this, one out of every seven Americans is on food stamps and one our of every four U.S. children is on food stamps.  Tens of millions of American families are living on the edge of desperation.  In many communities across the United States, there is so much despair in the air that it is almost tangible.  When you look into the eyes of many Americans these days, it almost seems as if all the hope has been sucked right out of their hearts.  Economic despair is at epidemic levels, and unfortunately the economy is about to get a whole lot worse.

THE REID JUICE JOB: IT STINKS!

Henderson City Councilman Sam Bateman said he voted to hire Sen. Harry Reid’s son to be the city’s new city attorney because he was the best qualified (after the council dumbed down the qualifications so that Josh Reid would qualifiy). 

He also said, presumably with a straight face, that Poppa Reid’s lobbying on his boy’s behalf had no influence on Bateman’s decision to hire the son of Nevada’s #1 and the nation’s #2 most powerful Democrat elected official.

But back to the most qualified contention.  Riddle me this, Batman...

After it was discovered that the qualifications for the position had been watered down – kinda like Nevada’s high school graduation requirements – in order for Josh Reid to qualify; and after it was publicly disclosed that Josh’s father was putting the “subtle” strong arm on Bateman and Henderson’s Mayor Andy Hafen (whose daughter used to work for the senior Reid)…. (let's all hope the other candidate sues!)

This is not worth a full post, so I just want to put it here. In the past 24 hours, I’ve had a lot of people ask why so many Herman Cain supporters would abandon him over this adultery allegation and not the harassment stuff. Well, it’s because people didn’t really believe the harassment stuff. But what’s more, a lot of these same people are wondering why people would jump from Cain over this adultery stuff to Gingrich who is on his third wife, having cheated on Wife 1 with Wife 2 and cheated on Wife 2 with Wife 3.

A caller to my radio show last night summed it up better and more succinctly than me. He said it was not the adultery. After all, we are all sinners. We all like sheep have gone astray. What it is is the incompetence of the Cain campaign’s handling of these several stories. The caller’s voice quivered with anger. He was angry at Herman. He felt betrayed, not because of what Herman may or may not have done, but because this caller backed Herman as the man who could run America and fix its problems, when in reality he can’t even run a campaign and fix his campaign problems.

That’s why, as Herman falls, Newt rises. Written off for dead by many, including me, he has been able to fix his problems in a way Cain has not.

During a town hall, the former House Speaker declared that, as president , he would block federal funds to any city that “declared itself a sanctuary” for illegal immigrants and that if UPS and FedEx can keep track of millions of packages a day, the government should be able to track illegal immigrants in the country. He also told the crowd that “No American president has the right to side with foreigners.” We couldn’t agree more.

Perry will campaign with Sheriff Joe Arpaio in Hudson, N.H. Huntsman has a town hall in Nashua and a house party in Concord. In South Carolina, Gingrich tours a Christian school on Hilton Head Island, visits his campaign office in Bluffton, and finishes the day with a town hall in Newberry. Santorum stumps in Georgia.

Hmm, not a single campaign stop by any of the Republican candidates here in the “First in the West/Fifth in the Nation” state?  Go figure.
