Rand Paul discovers “security concerns”

Sen. Rand Paul, who serves on a committee called Homeland Secturity and Government Affairs, just now woke up and realized that an immigration reform bill of the kind he was touting a few weeks ago, needs to take national security concerns into account. He now backtracks with the following statement:

I believe that any real comprehensive immigration reform must implement strong national security protections. The facts emerging in the Boston Marathon bombing have exposed a weakness in our current system. If we don't use this debate as an opportunity to fix flaws in our current system, flaws made even more evident last week, then we will not be doing our jobs.

It's nice that Rand Paul, author of a much touted amnesty proposal that unquestioningly presupposed a competent DHS, finally woke up to the fact that our national security is a disaster. But why did it take a national tragedy to wake him up?

It looks like our campaign to defund ObamaCare is causing some people in Congress to finally get serious.

This week, the House of Representatives is going to take up adefunding bill that the Senate and the President can’t ignore. It’s called theHelp Sick Americans Now Act, and it strikes at one of the fundamental disconnects in the Democrats’ healthcare agenda.

The bill would strip out $4 billion from an ObamaCare slush fund supporting “prevention” and apply most of it to a program that serves the sickest Americans who can’t get help elsewhere – the Pre-Existing Condition Plan (or PCIP). There are about 100,000 people currently enrolled in the PCIP, but Obama shuttered it to new applicants citing “funding constraints.”

So what effort of that slush fund is so important that Obama wouldn’t dare touch it to help the critically ill? Instead of putting money to directly treat sick people, through the ObamaCare “prevention” slush fund:

A North Carolina County used the money to put up signs advertising their outdoors recreation.

New York got $3 million dollars to lobby for taxes on soda products.

Seattle spent $3 million dollars to improve the “walking and biking environment.”

Boston dropped $1 million dollars on gardening projects.

Nashville got $7.5 million dollars – part of which went to paying staff to promote neutering or spaying pets.

As tweeted last night by the Las Vegas Sun’s Anjeanette Damon, “Republican” Sen.“Moderate Mike” Roberson and five of his GOP colleagues will trot out a staggering $600 million mining tax hike today!

What’s even more sickening than Republicans leading the charge for this outrageous $600 million tax hike is how, as Jon Ralston calls them, the “Dirty Half-Dozen Gang” (GOP Sens. Roberson, Ben Kieckhefer, Mark Hutchison, Joe Hardy, Scott Hammondand Greg Brower) are using the liberal tactic of exploiting children as human shields to give themselves political cover. 

According to Ralston Reports this morning, the Dirty Half-Dozen Gang are going to call their massive tax hike the “Education Priority Initiative” and will earmark the money for class size reduction and expanded English Language Learner programs – all of which will result in more dues-paying/Republican-hating teachers union members!

Dumb asses.

These so-called “Republicans” are making Benedict Arnold look like Audie Murphy (ask your granddad). And Roberson himself is starting to look an awful lot like Gen. Custerat Little Big Horn.

Barack Obama’s campaign organization - retrofitted to now lobby for the president’s liberal second-term agenda - launched an online attack today on Nevada Sen. Dean Heller...and we need to beat it back!

“Last week, (Heller) was one of 45 senators who decided to stand with the gun lobby, blocking a bill to expand background checks,” wrote Jon Carson of Organizing for Action (OFA) in an email to supporters.  He went on to urge them to flood Sen. Heller’s Twitter account with the following message:
 

“@SenDeanHeller I'm one of the 77% of Nevadans who support background checks. Why did you stand with the gun lobby and not us? #WeWillBeHeard

Carson went on to explain that OFA will continue pushing the president’s gun control/victim disarmament agenda and maintains that “If enough senators feel the heat from back home over this, we could turn the tide.”

Friends, Yesterday was the second major deadline for the 77th Nevada Legislature. Bills had to be passed from their first house by midnight last night, April 23rd. I'm excited to report that three of the bills I proposed passed that hurdle and will be continuing forward. This is the halfway point for bills; they will now be heard by their second committee before being voted on by the second house. From there they go to the governor.   Assembly Bill 248 - This bill would change many of our minor vehicle infractions from criminal to civil, which is consistent with many other states. My goal with this bill was to reduce the financial burden on taxpayers when people are arrested for minor infractions that would be better resolved through a fine. This bi-partisan bill is supported by 57 sponsors and co-sponsors and passed from the Assembly 41 to 0. It now moves to Senate Judiciary. If passed by the Senate, it will proceed to the Advisory Commission on the Administration of Justice during the interim to determine what it will take to implement and address some concerns that have been voiced by judges. The findings from the Commission will be presented to the Legislature in 2015.

He staffed his White House with people who thought the same. Attorney General Eric Holder launched a criminal investigation against the CIA interrogators. Harold Koh, once State's legal adviser, worried Bush's legal structure could "license genocide." And let's not forget Obama's pick for the Office of Legal Counsel at Justice, Dawn Johnsen, a lawyer who called for "outrage" over the supposedly lawless nature of virtually every aspect of Bush war policy.

This is a good time to review Islamic history (click link below). The Boston marathon bombing is part of a much bigger plan.

The answer is not to send troops into the Middle East. The answer is to stop importing them.

You can do your part by calling your senator and telling him not to vote for 'Immigration Reform.' If his assistant tells you we have to legalize illegal aliens so we can find out more about them, ask them how we can do that if the DHS couldn't find out that two legal residents from Chechen had terror ties. Ask them why the DHS didn't know if the Russians did.

USA Today blockbuster article exposes mosques in the Boston area!

Dear Conservatives,

Amid all the typical politically correct news stories and ruminations by pundits about the Boston Marathon terrorist attack, USA Today ran an article this morning (highlights added) that exposes the radicalism prevalent in two Boston-area mosques and their ties to the Muslim Brotherhood.

When you read the story—and we urge you to do so—pay particular attention to how mosque leaders react. (We realize it’s longer than what we typically send out, but this really is a must read!)

First, they claim that because the FBI and Homeland Security partner with them they can’t possibly be extreme. This is a classic Muslim Brotherhood tactic—co-opt law enforcement leadership to provide cover and credibility. Second, they claim they are the targets of modern-day “McCarthyism” and use propaganda techniques to smear their critics—another Muslim Brotherhood tactic.

Kudos to our friends at Americans for Peace and Tolerance for all their research on these mosques, and kudos to USA Today for using that research to expose what well-informed observers have known about these mosques for quite some time.

     People said that their definiiton of the natural born citizen qualification for President of the U.S. is:

1)Anyone. Period.....even if Not citizen, an illegal OK, NOT born in the USA, NO citizen parents at time of birth. (To be read as "anyone, from anywhere should be able to be President of the USA". (actual answer).

2) Naturalized citizen (therefore legal), Not born in the USA, NO citizen parents.

3) Born in the USA (citizen), of NO citizen parents.

4) Born in the USA, of one citizen parent.

5) Born in the USA, of two citizen parents.

6) Born of one citizen parent, no matter where born. (Actual response from a Congresscritter)

7) Born of two citizen parents, no matter where born.(This would include a John McCain as long as BOTH parents were on officlal, assigned, etc. Government missions.)

     Feel free to add to, combine, amend any of the above.  We just urge you to formulate something.

    Again, this is NOT a Constitutional court case.  This is for YOUR OWN OPINION which, is crucial to establish now so as to be ready for whatever your congresscritters may say it is now or later.  Without doing this, when the time comes, there will be nothing against which to hold them accountable. And they then will slip out the back door...create their own definition later "as needed"...and "PASS" it... ALL without any input from "our" side of the "aisle".   And that, folks, will be game time.
