Excerpt: The BLS, apparently working hard for Obama’s re-election, decided that with unemployment rising they’d better give the MSM something else to talk about – certainly don’t want them talking about the massive number of people out of work. Better to have them talk about the number of jobs being created! So, they just made up some numbers to make it look like the number of jobs went up. With his pro-forced unionism majority in the Senate at risk this November, Harry Reid will do whatever he can to prevent a public roll-call vote on Right to Work.
He understands that every time in the last forty years there has been a public vote on Right to Work, Big Labor allies have gone down in flames at the ballot box.
Don't believe me? Just look at what happened a few weeks ago when Senator Rand Paul introduced an amendment to protect employee freedom for workers in the District of Columbia.

Weekly hours did not move; hourly wages were up two cents. There is a problem however — the diffusion index across all private employers was down four tenths to 56.4. So how did we get an increase? Manufacturing — surprisingly enough — had its diffusion index spike higher by 3 full points.
Let’s look at the household survey, because as I noted last month the establishment survey was markedly weak compared to the household, and the establishment survey is full of games (otherwise known as the “birth-death model” among other schemes.)
And in the household survey I do not like what I see.

I often get questions about this or that related to various market moves and what I have repeatedly asserted is an ongoing economic depression we entered in 2008.
Many people doubt the truth, but arithmetic cannot be doubted. It just is; your options are to either accept it or deny it, but you can’t change it. And arithmetic says we’re in a Depression.
Let’s go through this one again. The real GDP growth is the red line. That’s simply the nominal number less government deficit spending. Why must you subtract it? Because if you don’t you are double-counting the government’s spending — you are at the same time counting both the debt issuance (which goes into the private economy) and the purchases by the government with the net debt issuance.
This is a distortion and you must subtract it back out.

Good morning from the RedState Gathering.
Last night we all hung out with Ted Cruz. It was a great night. In a few hours he’ll formally address the Gathering. Tonight we’re taking a cruise on the river with Governor Rick Scott. A good time will be had by all.
If you missed this year, next year we will be back in Atlanta for our fifth anniversary. At our first RedState Gathering we had Nikki Haley, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Ken Cuccinelli, and Pat Toomey. I’m going to do my best to put the band back together, so to speak, for next year. Hope to see you then.
