Comment: This is a main reason for our pilot poll of Congress relating to Senator Cruz, for example, as there is no specific SCOTUS case that ruled a definition of "nbc". From our initial poll feedback (Senator’s “NBC” Response To Constituent’s Info Requestwww.beforeitsnews.com/politics/2013/03/senators-nbc-response-to-constituents-info-request-2498558.html ), responses are all over the place.  We just sent out a followup to Rand Paul for his definition.  So far he has been totally unresponsive in anything.  Still, let's say the definition is whatever the column below says, there is no valid or deemed-unforged birth document to prove the idenities of his bio-folks one way or the other.  And you certainly can't go by what Mr. Obama says as he did not witness his own birth or conception.

So what needs to be done is clear to us.  And if anyone would like to participate, just let us know.

The one essential you might never think of until it’s too late is a gun worthy of more respect than it gets: a pellet gun.

You read that correct – I said, “pellet gun.” Yes, the kind powered by air – just one step above a BB gun.

I own many guns in many calibers for many different purposes. Among these is a good quality pellet air gun, and it’s not just because I still have it from when I was a kid. I have intentionally added this gun to my arsenal for very specific reasons. In between my Bushmaster AR-15 and my Ruger 10-22 sits a very cool and collected Benjamin Sheridan 392 .22 caliber multi-pump pellet gun, and I treat it with the same respect as any other rifle I own. It is a very specialized soldier in my cabinet.

1.  The Power of One Man’s Conviction

What was it about Rand Paul’s filibuster that has captivated conservatives all over the country and reinvigorated their desire to fight for our Constitutional Republic?  The irony is that the drone issue was not even one of the most popular issues among many conservatives until last night.  I suspect that many conservatives don’t necessarily agree with some of Paul’s assertions about targeting terrorists like Al-Awlaki overseas, although we are all (everyone except for McCain and Graham) concerned about targeting Americans on American soil.  Yet he has become an overnight sensation, not just among his core libertarian base, but among the broad conservative movement.

Conservatives have been starving for a fighter; longing for someone who will do something drastic, engage in a media savvy fight against an imperialistic president who has no respect for checks and balances and an invidious disregard for the separation of powers.  . . . please click here for the rest of the post →

The Nevada Republican Party’s official position on the issue of taxes:

“We believe the residents of the State of Nevada are not under-taxed and that state government is not under-funded, and our current budget crisis is the result of years of overspending. We oppose raising taxes or fees of any kind to fund the current budget shortfall.”

Even English Language Learners from DirkaDirkastan would have no problem understanding such plain, clear, unambiguous language.  Unfortunately six Republican state senators, including their leader, apparently can’t.

Senate Minority Leader “Moderate Mike” Roberson (R-PLAN) and five terribly misguided colleagues – Sens. Joe Hardy, Ben Kieckhefer, Greg Brower, Scott Hammond and Mark Hutchison - stepped up to the podium a few days ago and announced their support for a new $780 million (or more) tax hike on one of Nevada’s only healthy industries.

And make no mistake: This is no “revenue neutral” tax reform proposal to broaden Nevada’s tax structure.  This new mining tax is in addition to the re-imposition of the $620 million “temporary” tax hikes that Gov. Brian Sandoval is pushing and the Gang of Six are supporting.

60,000 Border and Customs Agents Told to Take Furloughs

Sixty-thousand federal employees responsible for securing the nation’s borders and facilitating trade will be furloughed for as many as 14 days starting next month because of $85 billion in cross-government spending cuts.

The federal government notified the workers on Thursday, CNN reports.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials said the furloughs and other austerity measures would cause delays at ports of entry, including international arrivals at airports, and would reduce the number of border patrol officers on duty at any one time, CNN reports.

David Aguilar, the agency's deputy commissioner, said it must cut about $754 million by Sept. 30, the end of the fiscal year.

The agency plans to institute furloughs throughout its departments, a hiring freeze — and to reduce or eliminate overtime, compensatory time, travel and training. Other federal agencies are following similar steps because of the spending cuts that took effect on March 1 through sequestration.
