The European Parliament today rejected a report that recommended that EU nations declare abortion to be a human right and to make abortion available within all public health systems of member countries. Adoption of the report would have placed more pressure on pro-life nations like Ireland, Poland and Malta to legalize abortion on demand.

Congressman Tom McClintock Calls for Americans to Rise Up Against Obama’s Un-Constitutional Usurpations
Congressman
McClintock (R-CA) took to the floor of the House of Representatives
amidst the shutdown dealings to break down the debt crisis and to point
out Barack Obama's agenda to destroy Republicans, Congress and the
Constitution, while gaining control of the American purse, usurping
power as a dictator. He ended his remarks by stating that he believed
that the salvation of the nation would be the American people standing
up against un-constitutional usurpations just as our veterans did last
week.
"The debt limit exists
for a simple reason," McClintock began. "(It's) to assure that public
debt isn't recklessly piled up without Congress periodically
acknowledging it and addressing the spending patterns that are causing
it. If the debt increase is supposed to be automatic, as the president
suggests, then there's really no purpose to it."

The
Obama administration is pressing hard for Israel to give up the strategic Jordan
Valley in a deal with the Palestinians, a senior Palestinian negotiator told
KleinOnline.
The current round of U.S.-brokered talks is attempting to hash out the specifics of a plan for the valley.
Obama’s proposal calls for international forces to maintain security control along with unarmed Palestinian police forces, the PA negotiator said. Israel will retain security posts in some strategic areas of the Jordan Valley, according to the U.S. plan.
Previous talks incorporated an element of Jordanian authority in the Jordan Valley, but the Kingdom of Jordan is suddenly weary of participating in a future Palestinian state, the negotiator said.

IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Benny Gantz said on Tuesday.
Speaking at the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Center's conference, called Israel's Perils and Prospects, held at Bar-Ilan University, Gantz began by noting the massive instability rocking the region, which he said "guides us every morning when we in the IDF wake up."
"It becomes even more dramatic when examined through a geopolitical lens," Gantz said.
Egypt has seen two presidents overthrown in less than three years, while Gaza, which obtained its "terrorist oxygen" from tunnels and arms smuggling, is now "facing doors it did not think would close before it, and is forced to develop new creative directions it did not require in the past," Gantz said.

should the Islamic Republic continue its nuclear program for much longer, a
former senior Israeli military official told The Jerusalem Post on

“Bibi’s not bluffing,” said the retired senior official, who requested anonymity to speak freely. “He thinks it’s the 1930s. The Iranians are the Germans, and history has a sense of humor with six million Jews now in Israel.”

When our daughters were
little, on occasion one of them would appear at our bedside in the middle
of the night crying, "I had a bad dream." She would then crawl up between Bev
and me and snuggle in. In a matter of minutes (usually seconds) she would be
sleeping again, comforted by the presence of her parents. I would then carry her
back to her own bed. In the morning, she usually did not even remember her
midnight distress.
Even as an adult, I know this "presence of
another" phenomenon. In a situation where I would be afraid to walk alone, I
feel no fear when accompanied by another.
When Jesus was about to return to the
Father, He issued a commission and gave a promise of presence to His disciples
and, by extension, to us.
