It has been a very
interesting week. I was glad to see the events in Burns, Oregon end without
any further loss of life.
When it came to the
crisis in Oregon, it was too easy to
not see the forest for the trees (just
watch the media reporting and editorializing on Burns). The issue of federal over reach on the lands of the West is real
and one that needs to be addressed. It is an issue that I will continue to
shine a light on.

(Tim Wulf) - As a small business owner and a retired economics professor, I know how hard it is to run a business when you have a government that doesn't understand how its policies impact a business' bottom line.
So when I read the President Barack Obama's proposed budget last week, I was frustrated with many parts of the $4 trillion plan.
But what really irked me was his proposal to put a $10 tax on every barrel of oil.
