Pastor Lee S, Chip and I came to Congress in the same class, and from the very beginning I could tell that he was a fighter. Here in Texas, we pride ourselves on our ability to think for ourselves and not bow to the liberal elites in Washington D.C. Chip embodies Texas values as much as anyone I’ve ever worked with. He has stood shoulder to shoulder with me as we’ve taken on the Washington establishment. He’s fought Nancy Pelosi every single time she tries to ram her liberal agenda down our throats. He’s even sued her over her unconstitutional proxy voting scheme. Because Chip isn’t going along to get along, Pelosi and the national Democrats have made him a target, calling on millions of dollars to be spent defeating him. All of this so they can successfully push their agenda – the Green New Deal, gun control, abortion on-demand, and attacks on free speech. His opponent, Wendy Davis, is a hero among the liberal elites because of her stunt a few years ago here in Texas where she fought against a pro-life bill for 13 straight hours in the legislature. Chip knows his Texas constituents better than anyone, and they know that Davis and Pelosi’s abortion-on-demand agenda goes directly against our Texas values. Pelosi’s money machine and Wendy Davis are spending over a million a week on TV ads. Chip’s going to need our help to fight back.
