How is it that media and Democrats think that Cuomo is doing a good job at 7 times more deaths per capita than the rest of the USA and that Trump is doing a bad job with far fewer deaths per capita than the EU?     

The views of Americans are biased by race and religion.

Protestant on this chart by Pew Research includes both blacks and whites.  When blacks are removed from Protestant, then white Protestants overwhelmingly vote for Republicans, including for Trump, while Black protestants overwhelmingly vote for Democrats... just as Hispanic Catholics vote for Democrats and white Catholics vote for Republicans.   

It is a myth that college graduates vote more for Democrats than for Republicans....  a myth circulated by Democrats.  More white college graduates voted for Trump than for Clinton while more black college graduates voted for Clinton.  race.  not education.  education only appears to affect elections as more educated white people tend to be less religious.  less religious affects the vote, not the amount of education.   

Voting in the USA is based more on race and religion than on any other variables. 

Most non-white voters were for Clinton.

Combining education and race gives an even fuller picture.

For the most part with about 20% exceptions:  Democrats = Blacks, Hispanics, Jews, and non-Christian whites while  Republicans = white Christians.   And it has been that way since the LBJ Great Society/Affirmative Action, and since Saul Alinsky wrote his play book for liberal community organizers in 1971 with instructions on how to rub raw the sores of discontent (race).   How else are 26 of the 27 Jews in Congress all Democrats? Why were all 3 of the Democrat impeachment  leaders Jews (Schumer, Schiff, Nadler)?  

Voters look at the facts through lenses of values determined by race and religion.  That bias is affecting how people view how this virus is being handled by our leaders.  Is Cuomo doing a good job when NY death rate is 7 times more per capita in NY than the rest of the USA including Cal, Florida, and Texas?    

All the stuff discussed by politicians are justification and distraction from these truths that  all politicians understand:   1.  Race and religion drive 80% of voter preference in the USA, 2.  create a platform that will get out the vote of those races and religions that support your party, 3.  distort facts to discourage the voters of the other party from voting (as the media did for Clinton in 2016), and 4.  then try to win that other 20% with whatever it takes... lies, distortion of truth, and accusations (i.e.  Trump colluded with Russians) ... the war of politics.       

Bias is affecting how Americans view the job being done by Trump vs Cuomo at handling this pandemic.   Certainly not facts.   

Here are 2 views of the same fact last March:   Fauci:  The president quickly took action with his ban on travelers from China as soon as we knew what we had.   Democrats:  Trump is a racist for putting a ban on travelers from China because of the Wuhan virus.  

And why are so many of the media liberals?  Why do they present the news with such anti-conservative bias?   Why do they overlook the problems/failures of Democrat leaders such as Cuomo and Biden?   They are Biased by race and religion (or lack of it).    

Race and religion determine values.   Values.  Then those values based on race and religion (or lack of it) drive political platforms and the spin on the facts.  What do you think are the values of the majority of those media who live in NYC or DC?   how about for those average working Americans who live in Kansas or Ohio?

Yes, many vote by straight ticket.   religion and race are the most constant variables affecting elections for the last 50 years with very little change.  

Democrats = Jews, Blacks, Hispanics (in smaller amount), and non-Christian whites. 

Republicans = white Christians.   

if 2 polls disagree by 180 degrees, then seek more data.

I’m saying that polls are the least accurate way of learning the truth about anything.  The margin of error is irrelevant.  The nature of polls is such that people are 100% anonymous, there is no penalty for lying or misrepresenting things.  Human nature is to make things up when the opportunity arises.  Plus, people often answer polls based on what they think the pollster wants to hear.  

No need to shoot the messenger—I just ignore the whole thing because it’s not something one can trust.  Remember 2016 and polls?

What influences people to vote will probably never really be quantifiable or identifiable, except on an individual basis.  

Out of curiosity, if there are two polls from reputable pollsters and the results are 180 off from each other, do you just choose the one you like?  That kind of difference in outcomes happens a great deal of the time.  It also depends on how questions are asked and how people interpret the questions.

My general understanding is people vote however they vote based mostly on name recognition or straight tickets.  I suppose it could be that certain groups recognize certain names, but again, it’s really not possible to measure.
