DEMOCRATS DUPLICITY
Letter to the Editor, The Florida Times-Union
For months Democrats and their media allies repeatedly claimed the southern border illegal immigration problem was nonexistent; created and promoted by Republicans for political advantage. According to Democrats, the situation was a “manufactured crisis.” This despite countless videos showing thousands of Central Americans in caravans marching toward the US.
A photo of a father and child drowned trying to reach the border changed the Democrat’s narrative. Suddenly alerts went out from the Democrats/media that “the word” had changed. Through a coordinated, simultaneous effort Democrats/media are now claiming the situation really is a crisis; albeit a “humanitarian” crisis;” and naturally it’s Trump’s fault. That Trump has vainly tried to eliminate all problems at the border by simply reducing illegal immigration is never mentioned. That Democrats have encouraged dangerous illegal immigration is never mentioned.
I’m not surprised at the behavior of Democrats or the media. What is disturbing is that American citizens can’t seem to see through Democrats’/media obvious duplicity.
