OBAMA ATTACKING AMERICA AND SENATOR VITTER FIGHTING BACK! STOP THE ENVIRONMENTALISTS ABETTING OBAMA

Vitter to hold Wodder nomination until Obama restores Gulf energy access

Rebecca Wodder, the radical Big Green enviromentalist nominated by President Obama as Assistant Secretary of the Interior for Fish, Wildlife and Parks, won't be doing anything in that job until the administration's slow-walking extension of hundreds of permits for oil and natural gas drilling in the Gulf of Mexico is lifted.
That's because Sen. David Vitter, R-LA, has placed a hold on the Wodder nomination and made clear the hold stays until the Obama-directed bureucratic delays on restoring Gulf energy access are relaxed. The Louisiana Republican wants the permits extended a year.

Obama is packing the government with Big Green ideologues

President Obama has packed his Cabinet agencies with left-wing ideologues, just like President Roosevelt tried with his 1937 "Supreme Court packing bill." Roosevelt failed, but Obama is still at it.
Now it's Rebecca Wodder, former Wilderness Society official and current chief executive officer of Big Green's dam-killing, water-grabbing, natural gas enemy, American Rivers Inc. ($12.1 million 2010 revenue), who is Obama's nominee for assistant secretary for Fish, Wildlife and Parks for the Department of the Interior.
The "assistant" in that job title doesn't mean just some office flunky, it's arguably the most powerful office in the Interior Department, second only to Secretary Ken Salazar.

Morning Bell: Blame the Washington Bureaucracy for High Gas Prices

Americans are paying more for gasoline today than they were six weeks ago when President Obama released 30 million barrels of oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve. In the Gulf of Mexico, meanwhile, 10 drilling rigs — more than one-third of the fleet — have left on Obama’s watch.
This incomprehensible energy policy is not only costing Americans more money at the pump. Bureaucratic delays in Washington are also stunting job growth and adding to the budget deficit.
As the Obama Administration pivots to a new jobs agenda — at least its seventh attempt to do so — it would be wise to review the policies that are slowing energy production. Thirty-four years to the day President Jimmy Carter created the Energy Department, it’s time for America to embrace a pro-energy agenda that boosts the economy, increases federal revenue and creates jobs.
