The amount of adrenaline running through her body at that point had to be astounding, not to mention the cocaine. Watching her sit up on the stretcher is something I've seen before. I worked at a hospital where a man was extremely close to death and lifeless. Yet all of a sudden, he got up off the ER bed and ran down a hall. He ran right out the doors of the hospital and out onto the lawn where he collapsed and died. Several nurses and doctors were trying to catch him but he was fast. I was new to my job and that scarred me for life. I was told it was pure adrenaline running through his body and not to worry as many people do strange things before death. I thought of that day immediately when I saw Anne on the stretcher. RIP.
