Biden’s Heavy-Handed Abortion
Advocacy Goes Beyond Pro-Choice
In the wake of the most significant pro-life ruling in American history, the Biden administration is doubling down abortion extremism.Washington, D.C. In response to the Supreme Court’s historic decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization Friday, President Biden commented that this is a “sad day” and called on Congress to restore the Roe v. Wade precedent as federal law. Despite 60% of Americans disagreeing with the central holding of Roe according to a January Knights of Columbus/Marist Poll, and despite Biden’s Catholic faith marking a clear boundary line on the dignity of human life, the President staked out the extreme position that abortion should be on-demand in every state.

In response to the Supreme Court’s historic decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization Friday, President Biden commented that this is a “sad day” and called on Congress to restore the Roe v. Wade precedent as federal law. In addition, the Biden administration Department of Justice, led by Attorney General Merrick Garland, took the unprecedented step of releasing a statement that called abortion a “fundamental right” and stated that the department does not support the law of the land, but instead “strongly disagrees” with the court’s 6-3 decision.
In response to these remarks, CURE Founder and President Star Parker released the following statement:
“President Biden ran as a moderate Democrat, but time and time again has shown that he and his administration purposefully seek out the most extreme left position possible. America is not a nation where the policy of abortion on demand is popular or even acceptable. The pro-life movement, of which CURE is a part, has grown strong because of Americans’ opposition to this extreme abortionist stance in Roe v. Wade.
Now that the question of abortion has been returned to the states, the Biden administration paints the abortion debate as a war, and wants blue states to become strongholds for continuing the slaughter of the unborn. Meanwhile, he refuses to mention the violence being perpetrated by the left against churches and pro-life pregnancy centers. Biden’s stance is especially tragic for the black community, where poverty and the racism of the abortion industry leads many young women to abort their children.
CURE stands with these women through our pro-life community leadership programs that seek to educate as many black Americans as possible about the false promise of abortion on demand. It is our hope that abortion will not just become illegal, but be eliminated—a relic, like slavery, of an inhumane past.”
