FLORIDA - JOE HARDING WEEKLY UPDATE

 

WEEKLY UPDATE Dear Friends, Last week, I was able to visit and tour the Hillcrest Public School and learn about their mission and operations. It is a Special Day School designed for the education and training of school-age students who have special educational needs. I was really impressed! Every student is treated with respect and kindness, and the school is performing at a high level.   That same day, my District Secretary Haylee Austin had the honor, along with Representative Stan McClain and his team, to present a flag that was flown over the State Capitol for two veterans' 95th and 98th birthdays.

The following day, my team and I attended the Ocala Metro Chamber & Economic Partnership’s monthly breakfast, where I offered the invocation and led the Pledge of Allegiance. Click below to see a video of the event:

Later in the week, we had a great event at Ocala Health with Gov. Ron DeSantis, who unveiled a new monoclonal treatment for COVID-19 from AstraZeneca, called EvuSheld, which will be made available to people around the state. I continue to be encouraged by the strong leadership of Gov. DeSantis, who is not compromising our freedoms while still finding ways to support the public health. He has sought out many innovative options and a variety of treatments, rather than a one-size-fits-all mandate.
