Did Y’all know or were you ever taught that an Army of Occupation stayed in the South for the NEXT 12 years
guaranteeing & insuring that the ‘CarpetBagger’s’ Laws would be carried out to their fullest extent thanks to that
Army of Occupation and that,
NO former Confederate Soldier was allowed to hold ANY PUBLIC OFFICE over that same time period?
Now do YOU understand how “Those People” were able to RAM THRU their 14th Amendment that gave them
TOTAL CONTROL resulting in what they wanted from the ‘get-go’-
A New & TOTALLY UNLIMITED Central Government that was NEVER to have been?
Are YOU now ‘Connecting the Dots’?
What the General was referring to Folks (CURTAILMENT) was RECONSTRUCTION, but how could he understand or comprehend what it was about because its CONTENTS were in its INFANCY & would NOT be realized until decades later when they CREPT into the REPUBLIC’S very Heart essentially changing, as was planned, the PROFILE & FOUNDATION of the CENTRAL Gov’t allowing them to re-create Constitutional Law via REVISED LAWS & subsequent RE-INTERPRETATIONS!!!
The ACTS of RECONSTRUCTION were part of “Those Peoples” 14th Amendment issued in 1868!
And as Our Confederate Society has repeatedly said:
“After our Confederacy was gone, who then was left to Fight for those Declarations that We ALL agreed upon after our Revolution… and ultimately the Northern States were to likewise
fall to the ‘new Central Government’ of the RED REPUBLICAN PARTY of that time that the General refers to at the onset?”
The ERADICATION of Our History- YOUR HISTORY, HERITAGE & ORIGIN, via Socialist GENOCIDE measures is NO ACCIDENT.
As the General says herein- “IT WAS ALL ABOUT STATES RIGHTS”…. THOSE RIGHTS THAT Y’ALL NO LONGER HAVE!
PS- Have heart however, as Our Confederate Government was NEVER SURRENDERED when the War concluded.
Our Military Surrendered- BUT NOT OUR GOVERNMENT!

Subject: Amazing recording of a Confederate veteran's Civil War experience and WHY the South fought the Union.
This is very interesting... and the ending sums up the fight between the North and South was for STATES RIGHTS... there's no doubt in this old soldier's statement of all he lived through the Civil War.
