Headline: Census: TX Gains 2 House Seats, CA, NY Lose One As US Political Map Is Redrawn
The First take: Monday's news of a shift in some seats in the House of Representatives initially had Republicans celebrating as Texas would gain two new seats while both California and New York State would surrender a seat. We are glad to see "red" states benefitting with added representation in Congress. However, we remind everyone, a great number of those moving from oppressive "blue" states have been known to bring their liberal predilections with them. Hence the billboards seen on the western border of the Lone Star State reading, "Don't California our Texas." Sage wisdom, indeed. |
