UP FIRST 01/19/2021 WILL SOMEONE TELL HILLARY THAT PRESIDENT TRUMP IS MUCH MORE OF A LEADER THAN RUTIN!

First look:

  • Hillary Clinton wonders if Trump and Putin colluded on the Jan 6 riot
  • Pardon-palooza? Reports say Trump could pardon 100 people today

Hillary Clinton wonders if Trump and Putin colluded on Jan 6 riot

HeadlineHillary Clinton Wonders if Trump Spoke to Putin on Day of Capitol Riot: ‘I Would Love to See His Phone Records’

What's Up: 1460 days ago Donald Trump became the 45th President of the United States. And Hillary Clinton is apparently still not over losing the 2016 election. Mrs. Clinton was joined by Speaker Nancy Pelosi on her podcast to discuss the January 6th riot at the U.S. Capitol. Apparently, Clinton thinks Trump and Putin were talking

Quote: "'I hope historically we will find out who he’s beholden to, who pulls his strings. I would love to see his phone records to see whether he was talking to Putin the day that the insurgents invaded our Capitol,' Clinton continued, also placing blame on Trump’s 'enablers,' 'accomplices,' and 'cult members' — a likely reference to his supporters, whom she famously referred to as 'deplorables' during her 2016 campaign." -- Breitbart.com

The First take: Talk about "living rent free in your head." And never mind that the Mueller Report debunked the entire "Russia, Russia, Russia!" thing. Hillary Clinton's endless infatuation with the Trump-Russia story is now starting to really worry us. We wonder if the media will step up and question her conspiracy theories.

The day of 100 Pardons? Trump expected to issue a lot of them today

HeadlineTrump preparing another 100 pardons, commutations before leaving office: reports

What's Up: In his final full day as president, Donald Trump is expected to issue a last group of pardons and commutations, possibly as many as 100. Some are even speculating the president may pardon himself or his family members.

Quote: "'Everything is a transaction. He likes pardons because it is unilateral. And he likes doing favors for people he thinks will owe him,' one source familiar with the matter told CNN." — TheHill.com

The First take: Lost in much of the reporting on the possible pardons being issued today is the reality that the number of President Trump's pardons and commutations pale in comparison the volume issued by Barack Obama (1927) and FDR (3687). Before sunrise this morning, Trump had pardoned fewer than 100 people. We always like to see "context" added to "content" to provide real clarity.

Why Inflation is good and how to win against it

Although investors in some asset classes are at risk if inflation goes up (or down), we’re seeing a win either way here at NRIA thanks to the assets we’re focused on building for our clients.

We build assets that are inflation protected and yet pay out current high cash flows.

Currently, NRIA investors are extended a higher than standard 10% monthly payout return from our real estate backed “Class A Buildings Fund”!

California pauses Moderna vaccine after small group has a reaction

HeadlineCalifornia shelves batch of Moderna vaccines over allergy concerns

What's Up: Rumors rippled across the internet casting doubt about the Moderna vaccine after one California mass-injection site reported a small group of people had reactions to the shot.

Quote: "California health officials are calling on COVID-19 vaccine providers to stop using a batch of Moderna’s shots after a handful of people who were inoculated at the same site all had allergic reactions. Fewer than 10 people reported reactions after receiving doses at a San Diego vaccination site last week, according to FOX5 San Diego." — NYPost.com

The First take: It should be noted a "handful" of people, fewer than 10, reported reactions to the vaccine. Reactions are not deaths. It's also important to know protocols are in place just in case people have a reaction. We still view the vaccine as safe an effective and would encourage all to consider taking it as soon as your doctor tells you to and your state make it available.

Lincoln Project co-founder resigns, admits to "inappropriate" acts

HeadlineLincoln Project Co-Founder Steps Down After "Inappropriate" And "Sexually Charged" Texts To "Dozens Of Young Men"

What's Up: Following months of speculation (and virtually no questions from the MSM) about the conduct of John Weaver, the co-founder of the

anti-Trump Lincoln Project, Weaver has resigned his position with a very public admission regarding his conduct.

Quote: "'For far too long I’ve tried to live a life that wasn’t completely true. I was lying to myself, to my family who gave me nothing but unconditional love, and to others, causing a great deal of pain to all. The truth is that I am gay. And I have a wife and two kids whom I love. My inability to reconcile those two truths has led to this agonizing place.'" — Statement via Axios.com

The First take: This reminds us of the behavior of Harvey Weinstein...using the prospect of a job to get sex. Was anything here criminal? We would also like to know just how many people knew about Mr. Weaver's behavior or even the allegations and did nothing or looked the other way. Since the entire purpose of the Lincoln Project was the defeat of Donald Trump, we doubt any serious repercussions will be felt by the group or even Mr. Weaver. Does the end justify the means? If so, God help us.
