Headline: DOJ releases Mike Flynn pardon document, moves to drop case
What's Up: President Trump's pre-Thanksgiving pardon of General Michael Flynn inched another step closer to being completely expunged from the legal system as the DOJ moved on Monday to (once again) drop the case.
Quote: "The pardon document expansively shields Flynn from 'any and all possible offenses arising from the facts set forth … or that might arise, or be charged, claimed or asserted' from special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation." — NYPost.com
The First take: We thought this was a "done deal." After all, when the president issues a pardon which also includes the word "innocent," we wonder what else is needed. |
