U.S. Sen. Rick Scott Honors Veterans Day | ||
In honor of Veterans Day, Senator Rick Scott is proud to recognize the brave men and women in uniform who have served our nation and fought to protect our many freedoms. Members of our Armed Forces truly represent the best of what it means to be an American and a Floridian - none of the opportunities and freedoms we have as Americans would be possible without their dedicated service .Throughout his time as Governor of Florida, Senator Rick Scott made it his mission to make Florida the most military and veteran-friendly state in the nation so our veterans, military members and their families can succeed. As U.S. Senator and a member of the Armed Services Committee, fighting for our heroes continues to be a top priority for Senator Scott, and he will always work to make sure our military members, veterans and their families have every resource they need to keep the nation safe and pursue their dreams in the Sunshine State. Senator Rick Scott said, “As the son of a World War II veteran and a Navy veteran myself, I understand the challenges faced by our military members transitioning back to civilian life. These men and women dedicated their lives to serving our nation and protecting our way of life, and we should do everything we can to support them during and after their active service."
