Dear P,
Mary Lynn was taken to surgery at 5 yesterday, and was not returned to the trauma unit until 2 a/m. we don't know how much time was surgical/recovery.
Her BP has slightly stabilized, but they still haven't found the source of the internal bleeding. They repaired the pericardium, and have inserted drain tubes to keep it clear. They cemented her ribs with *bone cement*. Some kidney function has returned, but she still requires dialysis. They completely washed the abdominal cavity to protect from infection. Her oxygen and ventilator settings had to be increased.
Her brain bleed has also gotten worse, and the pressure was building so much, the had to insert a drain, and she has an external monitor. They cannot even attempt any repair of her left hip or pelvis, the neurosurgeon will not allow. For ow, they are going to *pin* her left leg externally to try to relieve some of the pain from her shattered pelvis and hip.
She is not out of the woods, it is still touch-n-go. I feel the Prayers are helping. She has not been placed back into a medically induced coma, and the pain must be horrific, but she is holding on. I think Our Lord has His own Plan, and we are watching it unfold.
I want to thank everyone for their Prayers and Love for strangers. We are not *strangers* in Our Lord, we are brothers and sisters, and it is an AMAZING family!
