County Executive Marc Elrich Resurfaces - Confronted By Unhappy Citizens
Payback is a bitch, especially when you don't have layers of Montgomery County Police Officers to protect you.
Poor Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich. His Wuhan coronavirus reopening plan is "day late and a dollar short" by all measures. Despite our enlightened political leadership, Montgomery is shockingly the last county in the state to get back to work. Our businesses and families have been devastated by the shutdown and the much delayed and extended reopening.
So why was Elrich and his compadres so surprised when concerned citizens gave him a less than warm welcome at his recent press conference? Was he expecting a standing ovation? Elrich should have bused in a load of illegal aliens like his friends at CASA of Maryland are known to do, so as to guarantee a friendly and obedient audience.
We thank the many county citizens who took the time and effort to peacefully meet Elrich at the Kentlands to give him a dose of his own quite intolerant medicine. One local blog called our citizens "miscreants"? Seriously? Citizens have the right to publicly express their views in the same way that the local blog has the right to spread its biased nonsense. Save your big words for the George Floyd rioters.
And a special thanks to the Montgomery County Police for allowing citizens to exercise their Constitutional rights. I'm sure the police officers were smiling with every tough question and cutting comment tossed at a quite unprepared Elrich.
Lastly, remember how Elrich and his Council Member/Radical Group compadres tried to disrespect and disrupt the rally Help Save Maryland, Michelle Malkin, and other organizations hosted last year in front of the County Council Building. When we were peacefully and respectfully disagreeing with Elrich's Sanctuary Policy for Illegal Aliens.
Elrich, in support of the illegal alien rapists of underage girls and the abolishment of federal ICE, stood arm and arm with CASA of Maryland and some wacko leftist Jewish groups disparaging our rally. It was a failed attempt to shout and shut us down. What miscreants!
Yes, payback is a bitch. And amazingly no Kentlands buildings were torched or looted in the process.
Guess Who Didn't Quietly Go Away?
Help Save Maryland receives many emails and messages each week regarding immigration issues. But I was stunned to find out that George Leventhal actually contacted us asking about our alleged endorsement of candidates for the upcoming Maryland primary election.
You remember George right? He was one of the forever members of the Montgomery County Council, that is until over 70% of voters told George (and a number of other MoCo lifers - does anyone miss Ike Leggett?) that their time in office was finally up. Praise the lord.
Now if there were only term limits on do nothing lifer Congressional politicians like State Senator Cheryl Kagan, whose best attribute seems to be drafting last minute poison pen letters about particular candidates not of her ilk.
Anyway, I thought George retired and moved to Miami Beach or El Salvador. No such luck. He is still poking his big nose into issues affecting MoCo, maybe in hopes of someday resurrecting his candidacy bandwagon.
George was a big supporter of CASA of Maryland and illegal aliens, I assumed in part because of his "mail-order" bride. George was also an expert on everything and anything from banning pesticides for your lawn (tougher than the EPA standards) to the planned Purple Line Transit system, which will eventually transport passengers from some of the highest Wuhan coronavirus plagued areas (Hyattsville, Chillum, Langley Park, Adelphi, Wheaton to regions not so impacted. But I digress.
But what George did not know is that Help Save Maryland, like the NAACP and other 501c3 organizations, does not endorse candidates. Sorry George!
