Dear Conservative,
According to reports, the two young men who murdered 31 and injured 50 in unrelated bloody rampages in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio, in August were motivated by very different things.
The El Paso shooter was reportedly a white supremacist, environmentalist, and big corporation hater who targeted Hispanics. He had published on the Internet a hate-filled, anti-immigrant manifesto.
News reports said the Dayton killer was a self-described leftist and Satan-worshiper who supported Antifa and Democratic presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren, and had an obsession with violence.
How do we understand such bloodshed coming from those divergent ideologies? Who do we blame? Liberals or conservatives? Capitalists or communists? NRA or Hollywood? Mental illness or social media?
All these may play a part in our national lament, but none get to the root of America's cultural sickness. I believe most Americans know that's true, even if they can't or won't express it.
That's why AFA exists – to give voice to the foundational biblical truths that have made America the greatest nation in history.
And though the forces of hell are bent on turning those truths on their heads, I pledge that as long as faithful supporters like you make our efforts possible, AFA will stand unmoved by the undertow of evil that threatens America. If your soul resonates with the five truths I offer, I ask you again – and without shame – to support AFA with your prayers, your actions, and your generous gifts.
As we think about the moral darkness that engulfs much of American culture now, let us press these truths into our communities and nation as loudly and as often as we can.
A special gift to you...
In appreciation of your support, I want to send you Creation, Judgment, Redemption, an eight CD audio series from Exploring the Word, one of the most popular teaching programs on American Family Radio.
