Pastor Mulinde was born and raised in a staunch Muslim family. His grandfather was a famous Imam (Muslim teacher). He was schooled in the teachings of Islam and groomed into becoming a Sheikh (Moslem teacher) well versed in memorizing and interpreting the Arabic Qur’an verses and other Islamic teachings.
He was exposed to the truth, loved the gospel of Jesus Christ, was drawn to the Bible and eventually decided to become a Christian. He joined Prayer Palace Christian Centre Church in Kampala, Uganda and was called into the ministry, then into missions.
With his wife and one other converted Muslim, he planted the Gospel Life Church in 2005 which now has over 1000 members, 35% of which are ex-Muslims.
Because of his conversion to Christianity from Islam and his progressive Gospel preaching, on 24th/12/2011, he was attacked by a horrific terrorist attack by a Ugandan Muslim, who threw acid on his face. Fortunately he survived and has not changed his love of Jesus Christ to whom he continues to witness.
Pastor Mulinde will give his testimony and a very sobering and compelling message, aimed to motivate Christians to not be so timid in their faith, to preach boldly the Truth, and to stand up and be the light of the world regardless of the challenges brought by political correctness and humanism ideology.
