Its charity program, Amazon Smile, allows customers to shop as they normally do, with the added benefit that 0.5% of their purchase goes to the charitable organization of their choosing. That is, unless the organization they support is on the discredited Southern Poverty Law Center's so-called "hate list." ADF Vice President for U.S. Legal Advocacy Jeremy Tedesco reveals the myriad problems and turmoil now erupting at the SPLC, from losing its most senior leaders to the internal corruption that has recently been exposed. In light of this, Tedesco says it’s time for Amazon—and everyone else—to stop relying on the SPLC. -The Editors

| Fox News: Trump administration restricts NIH funding for fetal tissue research | |

Image source: Fox NewsAfter a six-month investigation, the Trump administration announced it will not renew a contract with the University of California, San Francisco because of a federally-funded research project that uses human fetal tissue obtained from elective abortions. This is one of many steps that the Department of Health and Human Services has taken to ensure that tax payer money does not go toward funding abortions. While this decision directly affects National Institutes of Health use of human fetal tissue, the HHS has also stated it will rigorously review future federal grant applications. -The Editors

| Rasmussen Reports: Most Oppose Transgender Athletes on Opposite Sex Teams | |

According to a Rasmussen poll, 54 percent of randomly selected respondents oppose allowing biological males to compete in female athletics, leaving 18 percent undecided and only 28 percent in favor. But that is exactly what the mislabeled “Equality Act” would do: allow men to compete in women’s sports—and more than a few female athletes have expressed that competing against biological males is "demoralizing." -The Editors

| WORLD: North Carolina House fails to override veto of pro-life bill | |

Roy Cooper vetoed a bill that would protect babies who survive abortions in the state, the North Carolina House of Representatives failed to garner enough votes to override the veto. This means vulnerable children who are born under the worst of circumstances will be at the mercy of physicians who are attempting to end their life. This is a deeply disturbing step back for protecting the unborn. A similar bill has failed multiple times at the federal level, and progressive politicians are pushing for abortions up to the moment of birth in various states. -The Editors
