17 Dead in Gang Fight Near Border as Dems Say We Don’t Need a Wall
Amid reports of Mexico being riddled with gangs and drug cartels, reports also flood in claiming 17 people were burned badly in a gang war gone bad. Sadly, the Democrats still won’t budge on funding for the desperately needed border wall.
According to Reuters, reports say there are at least 20 dead bodies — 17 of which had been badly burned — discovered on Wednesday in the Mexican city of Ciudad Miguel Aleman, which is located a mere 56 miles across the Rio Grande River from the U.S. border city of McAllen, Texas, where President Trump visited with U.S. Border Patrol agents and other officials on Thursday. Reuters wrote:
“The charred remains of 21 people killed in a suspected gang battle have been found in a Mexican border town, just over the river from where U.S. President Donald Trump was seeking to win support on Thursday for his plan to build a border wall.Officials in the notoriously violent border state of Tamaulipas said they were investigating the incident, which took place in Ciudad Miguel Aleman, after discovering the bodies on Wednesday. Seventeen of the bodies were burned.Photos shared with Reuters by a state official show the deceased scattered along a dirt track in scrubland, alongside burned-out vehicles.”
This report comes in amid the case for a much-needed border wall. Democrats, despite the many statistics showing the gangs and terrorists trying to come into the U.S. illegally from Mexico, still claim a wall would be “ineffective.” Yet, the criminals aren’t trying to cross the border where the wall has already been implemented.
Shockingly, Mexican authorities are reportedly investigating what has all the appearances of a deadly battle between members of two rival gangs in the area, gangs that routinely play in a role in the illicit cross-border excursions that bring illegal aliens, criminals, drugs, weapons and even terrorists into this nation.
While many statistics do show that many drugs do come into the country through ports of entry, that is not a valid argument against a border wall. However, somehow, the Democrats keep using this tired argument to show that the wall would be a “waste of time and money.”
The same statistics show that a numerous amount of illegal drugs also come over the border through “unprotected” areas of the border as well. However, they do not come over where there are already border walls built. (RELATED: CNN’s Don Lemon Calls for U.S. Media to Censor President Trump)
Additionally, the suspected gang-related massacre even drew a mention from Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador at his daily news conference on Thursday, and though he didn’t offer up much in the way of specifics, he did say that security officials would provide more information at a later date or time.
This should prove that a border wall is needed. Moreover, additional security measures are needed as well. Just ask CNN’s Jim Acosta as he proves that walls do work…
