As we mentioned last week, we hope that you are able to take part in some joyful cultural celebrations this Native American Heritage month.
And, as a supporter of NARF, we hope that this month, in particular, you can be an advocate for justice and spread the word about the growing number of challenges that tribal nations and people are facing. Below are some ideas for how you can share this important information with friends and family.
1) Send an email to friends and family wishing them a happy Native American Heritage month and asking them to learn more by visiting the NARF website and signing up for emails about Native rights and social justice.
2) Like and share stories from the NARF Facebook page and let your friends know that you are recognizing Native American Heritage Month with increased awareness and support for Native organizations, Native communities, and Native causes.
3) On November 27, celebrate Giving Tuesday (an international day of giving that follows Black Friday and Cyber Monday) with a fundraiser for NARF. If you need assistance crafting a fundraiser, we have created some instructions on how to use Facebook fundraisers.
4) Get yourself some NARF swag! Bracelets, cinch sacks, shirts all make great gifts for loved ones (or yourself!) and wearing NARF apparel is an easy way to raise awareness.
However you recognize this Native American Heritage Month, we appreciate your partnership as we all work together to ensure that injustices (past and present) are acknowledged and corrected to make the United States a better place for future generations.
Happy Native American Heritage Month! |
