Wait, WHAT? FBI Director Wray says CHINA, not RUSSIA, ‘most significant threat’ to U.S.

(National Sentinel) Not Just Russia: The hysterics from the Left regarding POTUS Donald Trump's Helsinki summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin goes on as Democrats and their propaganda wing -- the establishment media -- continue to portray Moscow as this monster power capable of destroying America with sinister gazes and 12 Russian GRU officers.
And while Russia is, of course, a threat, the country has a GDP the size of Texas and, when it comes to cyberwar, is probably less capable than the United States.
FBI Director Christopher Wray reminded Americans of something on Wednesday: That another revisionist power -- China -- poses a far greater long-term threat than Mother Russia.
Wray sat down for an interview with NBC’s Lester Holt at the Aspen Security Forum. He said that the FBI currently has counterintelligence and criminal investigations open in all 50 states regarding alleged or suspected Chinese industrial espionage.
In other words, China doesn't look to develop its own technologies; they want to simply steal it from us.
“It covers everything from corn seeds in Iowa to wind turbines in Massachusetts and everything in between,” Wray said of China’s spying/hacking/stealing efforts.
Being part of the disgustingly dishonest establishment media, however, Holt wanted to steer the conversation back to "Russia! Russia! Russia!"
Yeah, okay, Wray acknowledged. Russia tried meddling. (Russia -- and the former Soviet Union Moscow used to lead -- has been 'meddling' in our democracy for decades.)
But, he said, it's a mistake to underestimate or downplay Chinese efforts, which amount to nothing short of Beijing wanting to “position itself as the sole dominant superpower. They’re trying to replace the United States in that role.”
Let that sink in.
“I think China from a counterintelligence perspective represents in many ways represents the broadest, most challenging, most significant threat we face as a country," said Wray, as reported by The Gateway Pundit.
He noted that China's espionage is “a whole of state effort” which includes “economic espionage as well as traditional espionage and human sources as well as cyber means.”
“The volume of it, the pervasive of it, the significance of it, is something that I think this country cannot underestimate,” he noted.
Understand this: The Chinese, with an annual growth of 6-7 percent and a GDP approaching that of the United States, are moving aggressively to assert themselves as the world dominant power. They see the U.S. and Russia as powers in decline (and to watch even a day's worth of coverage by the puke-inducing "mainstream" media, you'd have to agree with that assessment).
President Xi Jinping believes now is China's 'moment' to rise, after a millennium of being relegated to second-and-third-class status. He wants China to be as great again as it was in the dynastic age.
And he will increasingly challenge us anywhere and everywhere.
If our establishment media wasn't so pathetically politicized and hyper-focused on destroying our president, they'd be telling you this.
