Breaking! Santa Clarita City Council Proceeds With SB54 Challenge Or Condemnation
The Santa Clarita City council has announced in it’s Tuesday 4/10/18 meeting that it will put on the agenda a motion to proceed with some type of motion to challenge or condemn SB54 and it will be on the City Council’s agenda most likely on May 8.
They stated that they have authorized the city manager to issue a report on the different types of action that they can take in regards to SB54.
Emails are still very much needed to the Santa Clarita City Council Members.
This initiative appears to me to be originated by Bob Kellar, and it appears to me that the two members that are least supportive of this move are Mayor Lauren Weste and Marsha McLean.
Mayor Weste seems to be dragging her feet the most and stated in the city council meeting that she supports DACA and does not support “separating families”.
It is crucial that emails are sent immediately to all members of this city council, but please make your first and strongest emails go to Lauren Weste and Marsha McLean.
I’ve listed the Council members names and contact info below in what appears to me to be the least supportive of opting out of SB54 to most supportive.
Please contact them ASAP.
