CYBERALERT 06/05/2017 NBC REBUKES PRESIDENT TRUMP RATHER THAN REPORTING NEWS!

Tracking Liberal Media Bias Since 1996

1. MSNBC Host Suggests Trump Is Trying to ‘Provoke a Domestic Terrorist Attack’ With Tweets

In the wake of the London Bridge terrorist attack, President Trump sent off some questionable political tweets where he called for a travel ban and criticized the mayor of London. The tweets were very much a part of the media coverage on Sunday, and it came with heavy condemnation. But during the 12 p.m. hour on MSNBC, anchor Thomas Roberts actually suggested Trump’s tweets were designed to trigger a terrorist to attack civilians in the United States. And he did it, not once but twice.

2. Amid Unfolding Details of London Bridge Attack, NBC Rebukes Trump Tweets

Late Saturday night, London fell victim to yet another terrorist attack using a motor vehicle to mow down pedestrians.  As details were first coming out, Drudge Report put out a tweet which read: “Fear of new terror attack after van ‘mows down 20 people’ on London Bride…” Soon after, President Trump retweeted the message. The retweeting didn’t sit well with NBC Nightly News, who noted on their own account that “Pres. Trump has used Twitter to share news report on London incident. We aren’t relaying president’s retweet, as the info in unconfirmed.”

3. Stephanopoulos Tees Up Lying Rice To Smear Trump Administration

After a couple of whirlwind weeks of the media bashing President Trump on everything from how he “lectured” U.S. allies at the NATO meeting, to his son-in-law Jared Kushner allegedly looking for a Russian back channel, ABC’s George Stephanopoulos sought the opinion of Obama’s National Security Adviser Susan Rice. During her appearance on This Week on Sunday, Stephanopoulos gave Rice free reign to smear the current administration, often teeing her up for it himself.

4. CNN’s Tapper Capitulates to Al Gore, Rages at Nikki Haley Over Paris Accord

On Thursday, President Donald Trump announced that the United States would be withdrawing from the Paris climate change accord, much the chagrin of the ‘chicken little’ liberal media who declared the apocalypse was upon us.  CNN’s normally mild-mannered host Jake Tapper was visibly distraught during Sunday’s State of the Unionwhen he was railing against U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley for how the U.S. now looked to the rest of the world. But when spoke with climate alarmist/hypocrite Al Gore he was at peace.

5. Jim Acosta: White House Reporter or Climate Change Activist?

During the Friday White House daily press briefing, CNN senior White House correspondent Jim Acosta berated EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt on behalf of planet Earth: “Why, then, is the arctic shelf melting? Why are the sea levels rising? Why are the hottest temperatures in the last decade essentially the hottest temperatures that we've seen on record?"

6. Dan Rather’s Grave Diagnosis: President Trump 'Psychologically Troubled'

Fake news pioneer Dan Rather was on Lawrence O’Donnell’s MSNBC show The Last Word Thurday night, and he knew exactly why President Trump disagreed with him on climate policy: it’s because of deep rooted psychological difficulties.

7. ‘It’s Censorship!’ Bloom, Griffin Waste Time Whining About Griffin Losing CNN Job

Desperate for attention, far-left comedienne Kathy Griffin and equally liberal attorney Lisa Bloom wasted everyone’s time on Friday afternoon while the two commiserated over Griffin losing her CNN job, losing comedy gigs, and generally being embarrassed for posting a photo with a bloodied, fake, severed head of President Trump.

MSNBC Host Suggests Trump Is Trying to ‘Provoke a Domestic Terrorist Attack’ With Tweets

By Nicholas Fondacaro

In the wake of the London Bridge terrorist attack, President Trump sent off some questionable political tweets where he called for a travel ban and criticized the mayor of London. The tweets were very much a part of the media coverage on Sunday, and it came with heavy condemnation. But during the 12 p.m.hour on MSNBC, anchor Thomas Roberts actually suggested Trump’s tweets were designed to trigger a terrorist to attack civilians in the United States. And he did it, not once but twice.
The first time Roberts accused the President of wanting a terrorist attack, he was speaking with Kasim Reed, the mayor of Atlanta, Georgia. “I just want to ask you, the President doesn't want us to be politically correct, right. So let's not PC about this,” he chided as he geared up for his smear. “Is the President trying to provoke a domestic terrorist attack with this Twitter rant, because only to prove himself right?
Reed seemed taken aback for a second before rolling with just Roberts’ comments about political correctness. “Well, the bottom line is, not being politically correct doesn't mean being misinformed or leaking intelligence that harms one of our most important allies,” Reed said, taking a shot at the President. He then described how Atlanta and London worked together in advancing London’s CCTV technology.
Almost ten minutes later, Roberts brought the accusation up again, but this time it was with someone he knew he could count on to give a ridiculous response: Howard Dean. “I asked this of Mayor Reed, but it seems like the President is trying to provoke something that he can politicize more for his own gain in America. Do you feel that way,” Roberts asked, after having read through some of Trump’s tweets.
Howard Dean met expectations, saying: “I just think he's -- well, I think he's totally incompetent.” He then used the tweets to slam Trump for withdrawing from the Paris accord and championed liberal resistance in a long winded tirade:
There's a couple of things that I think are good about this. I think what happened this week when he said no to the Paris climate change and a number of states and mayors have said: “We're not with this president and we believe that he doesn't represent the United States, and we're going to go ahead with the climate change protocols.” That is very, very important ... I'm sick and tired of this crap, and I think we don’t have to put up with it anymore. Let him do what he wants. He's not the president of what the American dream stands for ... We'll speak for America. He can speak for whoever he wants.
Dean’s rant ended with him declaring that Trump wasn’t his president. Roberts joined in by mocking Trump, saying: “Well, we know he was elected by the people of Pittsburgh, not Paris.” As Roberts’ was trying to go to a commercial, Republican strategist Susan Del Percio chastised Dean and noted that “he is, in fact, our president. Whether you like it or not, he is, in fact, our president.”
That sparked an intense exchange were Percio reminded Dean that Trump was duly elected by the American people and that he was an American citizen. “He’s the duly elected president but he doesn’t represent me,” Dean spat with a scowl.
“All right. So, that is technically-- technically okay and Howard doesn't have to accept it, but technically we'll leave it there,” Roberts said as they finally settled down. So, Trump is “technically” the president and MSNBC is “technically” a “news channel” not a place where an anchor can cast baseless accusations out of obvious spite.

THOMAS ROBERTS: But from our own president we only have his Twitter feed to go over here. One of the tweets from five hours ago was: “We must stop being politically correct and get down to the business of security of our people. If we don't get smart, it will only get worse.” Again, I also mentioned he went on a Twitter rant about the travel ban and having that reinstituted, you know, saying: “We need be smart, vigilant and tough. I just want to ask you, the President doesn't want us to be politically correct, right? So let's not PC about this. Is the President trying to provoke a domestic terrorist attack with this Twitter rant, because only to prove himself right?
KASIM REED: Well, the bottom line is, not being politically correct doesn't mean being misinformed or leaking intelligence that harms one of our most important allies. So, that's not my opinion, that's the opinion of Prime Minister May. So what we can do right now is be strong partners. The city of Atlanta and city of London, for example, have coordinated on our video intelligence capability.

ROBERTS: We don't know more about the three suspects, Howard, but we do know that the President found that inappropriate of the mayor and went after him saying: “At least seven dead and 48 wounded and the mayor of London says there's no reason to be alarmed.” And he also said: “We have to stop being politically correct, get down to the business of security for our people. And if we don’t get smart it’s only going to get worse.” I asked this of Mayor Reed, but it seems like the President is trying to provoke something that he can politicize more for his own gain in America. HOWARD DEAN: I just think he's -- well, I think he's totally incompetent, but there's a couple of things that I think are good about this. DEAN: I, like Kasim Reed, I'm sick and tired of this crap, and I think we don’t have to put up with it anymore. Let him do what he wants. He's not the president of what the American dream stands for. He's not the president of the greatest nation on the face of the Earth. He can be his own president and get whatever wants out of that. We'll speak for America. He can speak for whoever he wants.
ROBERTS: Well, we know he was elected by the people of Pittsburgh, not Paris.
SUSAN DEL PERCIO: And he is, in fact, our president. Whether you like it or not, he is in fact our president.
DEAN: Not mine.
PERCIO: Yes, he is, in fact, your president, Howard. You may not wait to be, but he is your president. He is the duly elected president of the United States of America and you are an American citizen.
DEAN: He’s the duly elected president but he doesn’t represent me.
PERCIO: Fine. But he is, in fact, your president.
ROBERTS: All right. So, that is technically, technically okay and Howard doesn't have to accept it, but technically we'll leave it there.

Amid Unfolding Details of London Bridge Attack, NBC Rebukes Trump Tweets

By Nicholas Fondacaro

Late Saturday night, London fell victim to yet another terrorist attack using a motor vehicle to mow down pedestrians.  As details were first coming out, Drudge Report put out a tweet which read: “Fear of new terror attack after van ‘mows down 20 people’ on London Bride…” Soon after, President Trump retweeted the message. The retweeting didn’t sit well with NBC Nightly News, who noted on their own account that “Pres. Trump has used Twitter to share news report on London incident. We aren’t relaying [sic] president’s retweet, as the info in unconfirmed.”

— NBC Nightly News (@NBCNightlyNews) June 3, 2017
A short time after four o’clock, the President shared his thoughts for the first time. “We need to be smart, vigilant and tough. We need the courts to give us back our rights,” Trump wrote. “We need the Travel Ban as an extra level of safety!” A few minutes after that, Trump added his condolences to America’s best ally. “Whatever the United States can do to help out in London and the U. K., we will be there - WE ARE WITH YOU. GOD BLESS,” he exclaimed.
“As security incident continues to develop in London, Pres. Trump tweets, ‘We need the Travel Ban as an extra level of safety,’” NBC Nightly News’ Twitter account noted, seeming as though to knock the President’s timing. They did report on the President’s condolences to the people of London and the U.K. absent any snarky qualifier.

So apparently, NBC found it pertinent to rebuke and critique the President while they should’ve been focused on reporting a developing story. They won’t mention a tweet from the President because of “unconfirmed” details, but they can freely speculate about nearly everything when comes to him and that counts as “news.”

Stephanopoulos Tees Up Lying Rice To Smear Trump Administration

By Nicholas Fondacaro

After a couple of whirlwind weeks of the media bashing President Trump on everything from how he “lectured” U.S. allies at the NATO meeting, to his son-in-law Jared Kushner allegedly looking for a Russian back channel, ABC’s George Stephanopoulos sought the opinion of Obama’s National Security Adviser Susan Rice. During her appearance on This Week on Sunday, Stephanopoulos gave Rice free reign to smear the current administration, often teeing her up for it himself.
At one point during their conversation, Stephanopoulos requested that Rice expand on her vocal criticisms of Trump. “More broadly on the President’s foreign policy, you had a tough critique in The New York Times yesterday,” he prefaced. “One of the things you wrote is that Russia has been a big winner under President Trump. How so?”
According to her, the world no longer trusted the United States to be a friend and ally in a time of war:
We need these partners. And when we alienate our Western allies, in particular when the President went to NATO and failed to reaffirm, as every president has since 1948, that we are committed and remain committed to the defense of our NATO partners, he sent shock waves through Europe and that is exactly what Vladimir Putin wants.
She then suggested that Trump’s actions were scoring points for Putin. “And when the United States, the most important player in NATO, casts doubt about our commitment to at the vital alliance, it undermines our security,” she explained to Stephanopoulos. “It undermines the security of our closest allies. And it's a big win for Vladimir Putin.”
A short time later, Stephanopoulos wanted to know if she wished the Obama administration had done more to let the public know about Trump’s alleged ties to the Russians before it was too late. “With the benefit of hindsight, should President Obama and your team done more to blow the whistle on Russian interference earlier in the campaign,” the Clinton lackey asked the Obama lackey.
She blamed the media for chasing shinier objects instead of their findings. “I think what's unfortunate is that that very important warning got lost in the coverage of other events that transpired,” she claimed. “It was indeed later the very same day that the Access Hollywood videotape came out, more WikiLeaks came out. And so, I think that it didn't get the attention that it deserved.”
The question of the Obama Administration’s role in stifling Trump was similar to an incident that occurred on MSNBC, where Katy Tur argued with an Obama flack over who’s job it was to smear Trump before the election.
Their conversation eventually came around to the allegation that Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner tried to set up a back channel with Russia to discuss Syria during the transition. Rice asserted that it was something that was uncommon, saying: “Well George, I think, these reports, if accurate, are concerning … And we do have communications between transition teams and foreign governments. Rarely with adversaries like the Russians.” She then claimed that “I have worked in this field for 25 years. And I have never heard of such a thing.
Both of those statements were lies. As discussed during last week’s Meet the Press on NBC by The Wall Street Journal’s Kimberley Strassel, candidate Obama (not President-elect Obama) sent a representative to Iran, a U.S. adversary, to negotiate a back channel. “Let me set the scene for you: It’s 2008, we are having an election and candidate Obama, he’s not even president-elect, sends William Miller over to Iran to establish a backchannel, and let the Iranians know should he win the election they will have friendlier terms,” she educated the panel.
Rice’s falsehoods once again went unchallenged on a Sunday show, just like when she lied about the Benghazi attack being caused by a YouTube video. But he did let her defend herself from the subpoenas issued by the House in their Russia investigation about her possible role in unmasking American citizens. That’s a story ABC had failed to mention when the news first broke. They instead chose to focus only on the subpoenas directed at Trump associates.

GEORGE STEPHANOPOULOS: More broadly on the President’s foreign policy, you had a tough critique in The New York Times yesterday. One of the things you wrote is that Russia has been a big winner under President Trump. How so?
SUSAN RICE: Well George, the United States has been the leader of the world because the world trusts and respects us. Because we have an unprecedented network of alliances with close partners that work with us, whether it's to defeat ISIS, whether it’s to deal with a threat of an Iranian nuclear weapon or to go after challenges of a new sort like pandemic disease or climate change.
Because Putin's interests, as he reaffirmed just on Friday, is to see NATO weakened and ultimately destroyed. And when the United States, the most important player in NATO, casts doubt about our commitment to at the vital alliance, it undermines our security. It undermines the security of our closest allies. And it's a big win for Vladimir Putin.
(…)
STEPHANOPOULOS: With the benefit of hind sight, should president Obama and your team done more to blow the whistle on Russian interference earlier in the campaign?
RICE: Well George, we did blow the whistle as soon as we had a unified assessment from the intelligence agencies about the Russian role. And on October 7th, the director of national intelligence, with the secretary of homeland security put out an unprecedented statement, very, very plain, saying to the American people, “this interference is happening. And it's happening at the direction of the highest levels of the Russian government.”
I think what's unfortunate is that that very important warning got lost in the coverage of other events that transpired. It was indeed later the very same day that the Access Hollywood videotape came out. More WikiLeaks came out. And so, I think that it didn't get the attention that it deserved. But, we worked also very closely with our 50 states to ensure that they were aware of the threat and took all the necessary precautions to protect the integrity of our voting system and our voter registration rolls. So I think we did what we needed to do. And I'll -- I think it's regrettable that other issues clouded the focus on that very important statement.
(…)
STEPHANOPOULOS: Would it have been appropriate for Jared Kushner to have a back channel during the transition? Your successor H.R. McMaster has suggested there's nothing wrong with it.
RICE: Well George, I think, these reports, if accurate, are concerning. Not just because of communication between the Trump transition and the Russian government. And we do have communications between transition teams and foreign governments. Rarely with adversaries like the Russians. Rarely with the frequency that we’ve seen. What I found most concerning about that report, which, if true is that Jared Kushner suggested to the Russian ambassador that they communicate using Russian communications in a Russian diplomatic facility to hide their conversation from the United States government. That's extraordinary. If not mind-boggling. From the point of view of a national security professional.
I have worked in this field for 25 years. And I have never heard of such a thing. The United States and from one administration to the next, has one government, one president at a time. And we worked very hard to do a professional and effective handoff. A seamless one. We worked very hard in this transition to accomplish that. And, to do so transparently. And that's the hallmark of what make our democratic system resilient and our ability to endure as a leader and a democratic icon for the world.

CNN’s Tapper Capitulates to Al Gore, Rages at Nikki Haley Over Paris Accord

By Nicholas Fondacaro

On Thursday, President Donald Trump announced that the United States would be withdrawing from the Paris climate change accord, much the chagrin of the ‘chicken little’ liberal media who declared the apocalypse was upon us.  CNN’s normally mild-mannered host Jake Tapper was visibly distraught during Sunday’s State of the Union when he was railing against U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley for how the U.S. now looked to the rest of the world. But when spoke with climate alarmist/hypocrite Al Gore he was at peace.
After a fleeting exchange of pleasant hellos, Tapper swiftly pounced on Haley and demanded to know how difficult her job was going to be now that the U.S. has sided with the likes of Syria:
So, 194 countries signed the Paris climate agreement. Only three nations are not signatories to it, the United States, Nicaragua, which that the emissions standards were not tough enough, and Syria. So on the one issue that unites the world, essentially, the United States is now isolated; the proverbial skunk at the garden party. Are not concerned this will affect your ability to lead on other issues?
With a chuckle, Haley refused Tapper’s assertion. “Well, I don't think we're the skunk at the party,” she said. She recalled how the regulations President put on the country, without the lawful approval of Congress, hurt the state of South Carolina when she was the governor.
“And so what we want to do is say, look, we're a sovereign country. We're going to make sure we're looking out for the U.S. first,” she added. “We will always be a leader on the environment. That's what we do. That's who we are. But we're going to make sure we're not hurting our companies in the process. And there's a balance.” She also noted that there were clear differences between the U.S. and the other countries that didn’t agree to the accord, saying: “to put us in that category is not a real assumption.”
After a mocking laugh, Tapper spat that “I'm not the one that put us in the category, the President is!” This is in extremely sharp contrast to how Tapper played nice with Al Gore and treated him like an honored guest. “This is a criticism we hear from conservatives all the time in talking about people like you or Elon Musk or Leonardo DiCaprio, that you yourself have a large carbon footprint,” Tapper asked, teeing him up to hit his detractors who point out the hypocritically opulent lifestyles of climate alarmists.
With an unflinching face, Gore claimed he had no carbon footprint at all, saying: “Yeah well, I don't have a private jet and what the carbon emissions come from my trips on Southwest Airlines are offset. I live a carbon-free lifestyle to the maximum extent possible.” He then went on to claim that “And now we see these climate-related extreme weather events virtually every day. Every night on the news is like a hike through the Book of Revelation.
Tapper didn’t bat an eye when Gore told his boldfaced and easily proven lie about how he lives right to his face. This helps highlight Tapper’s double standard when he rebuked Haley for saying the U.S. was going to be a “truth teller” when it came to the flaws of the Paris accord. “You say we're truth tellers. Let me show you what President Trump has tweeted about climate change. Quote: “The concept of global warming was created by and for the Chinese in order to make U.S. manufacturing non-competitive.” Are you willing to acknowledge that that is nonsense,” he demanded to know.
What makes Tapper’s hypocrisy about truth-telling even more poignant, is that when he was employed by ABC he actually reported on how Gore’s home utility bill was over $30,000. “Armed with Gore's utility bills for the last two years, the Tennessee Center for Policy Research charged Monday that the gas and electric bills for the former vice president's 20-room home and pool house devoured nearly 221,000 kilowatt-hours in 2006, more than 20 times the national average of 10,656 kilowatt-hours,” Tapper wrote at the time.

JAKE TAPPER: This is a criticism we hear from conservatives all the time in talking about people like you or Elon Musk or Leonardo DiCaprio, that you yourself have a large carbon footprint?
AL GORE: Yeah well, I don't have a private jet and what the carbon emissions come from my trips on Southwest Airlines are offset. I live a carbon-free lifestyle to the maximum extent possible. But the point is, our whole country and our entire world has to change, and are beginning to change. Today, we'll put another 110 million tons of heat-trapping pollution up there. We're treating the sky an on sewer. And now we see these climate-related extreme weather events virtually every day. Every night on the news is like a hike through the Book of Revelation.

TAPPER: So, 194 countries signed the Paris climate agreement.
NIKKI HALEY: Well, I don't think we're the skunk at the party. I think that what we did was we watched out for our country. Look, I was a governor in South Carolina. I know how tough those regulations President Obama put on us because of the Paris agreement were on our businesses and on our industries. It directly hit our jobs. And so what we want to do is say, look, we're a sovereign country. We're going to make sure we're looking out for the U.S. first. We will always be a leader on the environment. That's what we do. That's who we are. But we're going to make sure we're not hurting our companies in the process. And there's a balance. There's clearly a difference between us and Nicaragua and us and Syria. The world knows that. So to put us in that category is not a real assumption.
TAPPER: [Mockingly laughs] I'm not the one that put us in the category, the President is! But when it comes to those agreements, the reduction in carbon emissions, that was-- every country set their own standard. Why didn't President Trump just renegotiate the United States' standards so to make it less imposing? Why withdraw?
HALEY: Why didn't President Obama get this through the Senate? There's a reason President Obama did this for an executive standpoint as opposed to going through the Senate. He knew he couldn't get it to pass. It was too onerous. The regulations were too strict. And it wasn't achievable. Even if we had stayed in the Paris agreement, and this is the part everyone needs to really think about.
If we had stayed in the Paris agreement, which the countries told us you can do it. We won't say anything. That's not who the U.S. is. One, we’re truth tellers, we're going to tell the truth. Two, it was not achievable. What President Obama submitted the U.S. to was not achievable under our standards or any other county’s standards. And then we’ve got to look at the fact we didn't want to be in violation of the agreement. And if you look at the executive order that President Trump signed that rolled back the clean power act a few months ago, that was already moving towards a pro-business situation. But what we do have is a lot of companies who care about green technology. Care about making sure that we take care of the environment, and you have a president who is very focused on clean air, clean water, and jobs.
TAPPER: You say we're truth tellers. Let me show you what President Trump has tweeted about climate change. Quote: “The concept of global warming was created by and for the Chinese in order to make U.S. manufacturing non-competitive.” Are you willing to acknowledge that that is nonsense?
(…)
TAPPER: I want to be clear, you're not willing to acknowledge that calling climate change a Chinese hoax is just a big box of crazy?

Jim Acosta: White House Reporter or Climate Change Activist?

By Alex Xenos

During the Friday White House daily press briefing, CNN senior White House correspondent Jim Acosta berated EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt on behalf of planet Earth: “Why, then, is the arctic shelf melting? Why are the sea levels rising? Why are the hottest temperatures in the last decade essentially the hottest temperatures that we've seen on record?
Pruitt retorted: “We’ve actually been in hiatus since the late 1990s, as you know.
Unsurprisingly, Acosta was not going to let facts get in his way:
Sir, when NASA says that 95% of the experts in this area around the world believe that the Earth is warming and you are up there throwing out information that says, well, maybe this is being exaggerated and so forth, you talk about climate exaggerators, it just seems to a lot of people around the world that you and the President are just denying the reality and the reality of the situation is that climate change is happening and it's a significant threat to the planet.
Pruitt proceeded to explain that the United States has done a “tremendous” amount of work to reduce emissions and will continue to do so without harming America’s economy.
Acosta apparently suffers from a hearing disability and finished with: “You're putting your head in the sand though.”
The reality is that the science is far from settled and the proof is endless:
The Most Comprehensive Assault On 'Global Warming' Ever
REPORT: Earth Has Not Warmed For Past 19 Years
Fabricating Phony Climate Fear Over Sea Levels
And that is just a sample.
But regardless, the press is not supposed to take sides. Yet, they always do on behalf of the statist cause. Of course, Acosta is an experienced liberal media activist.
A more complete transcript of the June 2 back-and-forth is below:
White House Press Briefing

JIM ACOSTA:  Why, then, is the arctic shelf melting? Why are the sea levels rising? Why are the hottest temperatures in the last decade essentially the hottest temperatures that we've seen on record?
SCOTT PRUITT: We’ve actually been in hiatus since the late 1990s, as you know.
ACOSTA: Sir, when NASA says that 95% of the experts in this area around the world believe that the Earth is warming and you are up there throwing out information that says, well, maybe this is being exaggerated and so forth, you talk about climate exaggerators, it just seems to a lot of people around the world that you and the President are just denying the reality and the reality of the situation is that climate change is happening and it's a significant threat to the planet.
PRUITT: Let me say this and I said this in the confirmation process and I said it yesterday. I'll say it today [BEING INTERUPTED BY ACOSTA]. Let me finish. There is -- we have done a tremendous amount as a country to achieve reductions in CO2 and we have done that through technology and innovation. We will continue to do that. We will continue to stay engaged. We are a part, as you know, the U.N. CCC and that encourages voices by subnational groups and countries across the globe and we're going to stay engaged and try to work through agreements and achieve outcomes that put America's interests first. This is not -- this is not a message to anyone in the world that America is somewhat -- should be apologetic of its CO2 position. We're actually making tremendous advantages. We're not going to agree to frameworks and agreements that put us at an economic disadvantage and hurt citizens across this country. Yes, sir?
ACOSTA: You're putting your head in the sand though.
PRUITT: There's no evidence of that.

Dan Rather’s Grave Diagnosis: President Trump 'Psychologically Troubled'

By John Hirschauer

Fake news pioneer Dan Rather was on Lawrence O’Donnell’s MSNBC show The Last Word Thurday night, and he knew exactly why President Trump disagreed with him on climate policy: it’s because of deep rooted psychological difficulties.
Rather, deeply attuned to the President’s innermost thoughts, relayed just how dark the past few days have been in the Trumpian psyche: "He just came back from this European trip, and he was angry with the leader of Germany, Ms. Merkel, and the new leader of France. So what you have here is a President who is lashing out in anger.
The clairvoyant former CBS anchor continued, as Rather proceeded to use his telepathic knowledge of the psychological states of American presidents past and present to illustrate the severity of Trump’s psychological prognosis: “We haven't had a president this psychologically troubled -- I'm trying to use my language real carefully. We haven't had a president this psychologically troubled in this way since at least Richard Nixon.”
Rather was sure to let the American people know just how “carefully” he chose the “language” with which he slandered the Commander in Chief’s mental acuity, and thus, in his mind, we should be grateful and humbled that he allowed the audience a glance into his unparalleled Freudian musings.
Prognostications on the President's mental health by professionals and amateurs alike are hardly new; the New York Times ran an op-ed asking whether it was time to call Trump mentally ill, and the Atlantic even brought on a psychologist to write an entire piece on Trump's sociobehavioral abnormalities.
While political criticisms of the previous administration yielded unfettered accusations of bigotry and intolerance, speculation about the President's mental health and faux-executions seem par for the course when the Left doesn't like the Commander in Chief.

‘It’s Censorship!’ Bloom, Griffin Waste Time Whining About Griffin Losing CNN Job

By Curtis Houck

Desperate for attention, far-left comedienne Kathy Griffin and equally liberal attorney Lisa Bloom wasted everyone’s time on Friday afternoon while the two commiserated over Griffin losing her CNN job, losing comedy gigs, and generally being embarrassed for posting a photo with a bloodied, fake, severed head of President Trump.
Instead of accepting responsibility and the consequences, the pair took a childish route, suggesting that Griffin was the one being bullied and the victim of “censorship” by CNN for being fired as co-host of the New Year’s Eve coverage.
“It’s sad. It’s so hurtful to me,” a bawling Griffin told a reporter when asked what she thought of CNN firing her. Bloom also stepped in to lash out at the network: “It’s censorship is what it is. I’ll say it more bluntly. She’s worked there for 10 years. It was the best thing about the New Year’s Eve.”
But wait, there’s more! Griffin continued digging a proverbial hole, making excuses for her channeling of ISIS by blasting CNN: “It’s a bunch of old white guys trying to silence me and I’m just here to say that’s wrong. You don’t have to like me, but you shouldn’t silence a comic.”
Besides the faux complaints about CNN’s decision to fire her, arguably the most viral moment of the press conference was when Griffin sobbed uncontrollably, claiming that Trump“broke me”:
I don’t think I will have a career after this. I think he — I think he — I think he — I’m going to be honest. He broke me. He broke me. He broke me. And then I was like, no this isn’t right. It’s just not right and I apologized because I knew it was the right thing to do and I meant it and then I saw the tide turning and I saw what they were doing and I went, oh, they’re trying to spin this, so they’re making it about Barron and obviously, that was never my intention. I would never want to hurt anyone, much less a child. But I started to see what was really happening and then it was a mob mentality, pile on and so many people have expressed to me, across country at my shows, they’re scared. So, yeah, I don’t know what’s — I don’t know what’s — I don’t know. But I have to stand up.
Bloom added that “Ted Turner would never have” fired Griffin if he still ran CNN while moments later, Griffin became even more emotional. She shrugged "no" when another reporter wondered if she had spoken to AC360 host, fellow New Year’s Eve co-host and friend Anderson Cooper, since the controversy arose on Tuesday.
To further show she lacked any class, she corroborated a reporter’s question about if she thought it was acceptable for children like Barron Trump to be attacked: “I think a comic should be able to make fun of everybody...I make fun of everybody in my acts.”Good luck finding hoardes of people that agree with that sentiment.
Bloom also jumped in on this subject, ruling that the reported horror Barron showed upon seeing the photo was a lie: “Well, allegedly. We don’t know that. You’re assuming that everything the Trumps say is true and, in fact, we know that many of the things that the Trumps say are false.”
For over 30 minutes, the lunacy was flowing. It started nearly from the get-go when Bloom claimed that Griffin had only held up a “Trump mask.” I have three words to describe this claim: Pants on fire.
“It was a parody of Trump's own sexist remarks taken to an extreme, absurdist visual. Like many edge works of artistic expression, the photo could be interpreted different ways and Kathy was fine with that. But Kathy never imagined that it could be misinterpreted as a threat of violence against Trump. That was never what she intended,” claimed Bloom.
Supposedly being a champion for all women, Bloom lashed out at First Lady Melania Trump for not fighting her husband on the American Health Care Act (AHCA) but also the whole family:
Kathy has endured the most powerful man in America and his family, using their power to target her and her employers after she apologized. The President took a break from his business schedule of tweeting nonsense words, to target her satire.
Having not heard of people like Elizabeth Lauten, Bloom ruled that “the message is clear” in that if you “criticize the President, you lose your job and that’s what happened to Kathy and more as a result of the First Family’s bullying of her and of those she does business with.”
Before Griffin took over, here’s more crazy excerpts from Bloom:
Kathy has been vilified. She’s been receiving a lot of death threats. She’s had her personal website and her social media channels shut down, been fired from multiple jobs, and had multiple events cancelled. The Secret Service has reached out to her. The Secret Service has reached out to the a comedian. She has had to retain a criminal attorney who is here today.
(....)
For the first time in history that we are aware of, the President of the United States and his family is personally attempting to ruin a comedian. This has been a living nightmare for Kathy. She works hard and she has millions of global fans, including me, but she lacks a TV network or a giant team behind her and she has been suffering through this virtually alone as every kind of vile threat has poured in.
Using Bloom’s suggestion that what she did was protected speech, Griffin exclaimed that she was “not afraid” of “bully” Donald Trump.
Griffin also made an attempt to emphasize that her apology “absolutely stands,” but nonetheless felt attacked:
But I just wanted to say, you know, if you don’t stand up, you get run over and what’s happening to me has never happened ever in the history of this great country, which is that a sitting President of the United States and his grown children and the First Lady are personally, I feel, personally trying to ruin my life forever. Forever. You guys know him. He’s never going to stop. I know him...I don’t want this to happen to anyone else.
Bloom interrupted Griffin repeatedly to bolster her self-centered personality, including the outlandish assertion that it was “so unpresidential” for the Secret Service to be investigating Griffin’s outlandish photo.
Concerning those outraged by the photo depicting a beheaded President, Griffin dismissed those folks (including, you, the loyal NewsBusters readers) as fake “bots”“My impression is that they have mobilized their armies of their bots or whatever they do. I — like I said, it’s quite clear to me that they’re trying to use me a distraction and I’m not going to be collateral damage for this fool.”
