NEVADA - CONGRESSIONA:L DICTRICT 4 NEEDS A PRO LIKE HARDY!

Dear Fellow Nevadan, Small businesses are the backbone of our economy. In the United States, they employ 48% of the entire private-sector workforce and represent 99.7% of all businesses with employees. Small business owners work hard to keep their doors open and they deserve our support.

Last week, I had the honor of having Congressman Steve Chabot (OH-1), Chairman of the House Small Business Committee, join me in Nevada to meet with small business owners in the Fourth District. We toured some incredible businesses and listened to some of their own concerns facing small business owners in our great state.
When I returned to Washington, I got to meet with human resource professionals to talk about possible solutions that could address some of the issues facing our workforce. I also spent time with representatives from the Secondary School Principals Association of Nevada. We had a great discussion about student achievement and preparing our students for the future.

Serving you,
Cresent Hardy

Hearing from District Four’s Small Businesses

Congressman Steve Chabot and I held a small business roundtable with business leaders from District Four. We talked about the increased cost of doing business that overreaching regulatory burdens have on our small business owners and how to create a better environment to create more jobs in North Las Vegas.

Sable Systems International's wonderful team gave Congressman Chabot and me a tour of their North Las Vegas facility. It was so great to meet with employees and learn about all the incredible work they're doing to advance metabolic rate discovery.

One of the many great things about Nevada is our great neighborhood restaurants. Congressman Chabot and I visited Big Dog's Draft House and saw the brewery team in action as they worked on handmade batches. We also got to talk with Big Dog's employees to learn how federal regulations are affecting their small business and the restaurant industry.

Nevada can be proud of all the innovative businesses we have in District Four that do great things for our community. I’m so glad I could have Congressman Chabot tour Xtreme Green Electric Vehicles and learn about their efforts to reduce emissions from ATVs and other motorsport vehicles.
During Congressman Chabot’s visit, we also got to spend time with the owners and employees of Lange Plumbing and Fire Protection. This wonderful family-owned business talked to us about how meaningful the skilled trades industry is in Nevada and our entire nation.
