Hillary Clinton’s Campaign Admits She LIED about Email During Her U.N. Press Conference!

Ever since the Inspector General released his report last week that
Hillary Clinton knowingly violated government rules on handling
classified information, the Clinton campaign and their partners in the
liberal media have been in full spin mode trying to extricate Hillary
from mess she’s made.
Over the weekend Clinton’s campaign chair joined the effort by releasing a memo defending his corrupt bossfrom
criticism. In the memo he goosesteps through the campaign talking
points that Hillary’s people have been parroting for over a year now,
adding new spin to the parts that have already been debunked. But then
Podesta makes a mistake and accidentally reveals a huge hole in the
Clinton story.
Had
Secretary Clinton known of any concerns about her email setup at the
time, she would have taken steps to address them. She believed she was
following the practices of other Secretaries and senior officials.
What
has also been missed in a lot of the discussion is that the report
brings to light the longstanding and systemic problems in the
government’s electronic recordkeeping systems.
Secretary Clinton believed her emails to and from officials on their state.gov accounts were automatically captured and preserved in the State Department’s electronic system.
It
was not until the Department contacted her in 2014 that she learned
this was not the case. And since then, she has taken unprecedented steps
to ensure public access to her emails — providing the Department with
all of her work-related emails, totaling 55,000 pages, and calling for
their release.
So
there are at least two problems for Clinton in this section of the
memo, and I really just want to focus in on one that proves she has been
lying to the media and to the American people.
First, there’s this:
Had
Secretary Clinton known of any concerns about her email setup at the
time, she would have taken steps to address them. She believed she was
following the practices of other Secretaries and senior officials.
This
is pure poppycock from Podesta. Thanks to the IG report we KNOW that
concerns were raised about Clinton’s email use early on and instead of
changing their practice – the Clinton team threatened anyone who raised the issue.
However, the bigger issue here is the LIE that Podesta uncovers for us here:
Secretary Clinton believed her emails to and from officials on their state.gov accounts were automatically captured and preserved in the State Department’s electronic system.
It was not until the Department contacted her in 2014 that she learned this was not the case.
That’s
interesting. Again, the IG report found (and Podesta admitted) that the
State Department made Clinton aware of the problems they were having
capturing her emails in July of 2014. However, almost a year later while
confronting the email scandal during a press conference at the United Nations,
Clinton argued that she had begun deleting her own emails (and not
handing them over to the State Department) because she believed that
they had captured the vast majority of her work email!
Under
the Federal Records Act, records are defined as reported information
regardless of its form or characteristics, and in meeting the record
keeping obligations it was my practice to email government
officials on their state or other .gov accounts so that the emails were
immediately captured and preserved.
Now,
there are different rules governing the White House than there are
governing the rest of the executive branch, and in order to address the
requirements I was under, I did exactly what I have said. I
emailed to people, and I not only knew, I expected that then to be
captured in the State Department or any other government agency that I
was emailing to at a .gov account.
Remember,
she said this almost a year after learning that these things did not
happen. And in between learning that her emails had not been captured
and receiving the State Department’s request to have all of her
emails... Clinton began deleting huge swaths of her emails and wiping
the data from her private server.
Now,
thanks to Podesta’s memo, we have concrete proof that Clinton lied
during her U.N. Press Conference. The question that should immediately
follow is this: if Clinton knew in July of 2014 that her emails had not
been captured, then why, several months later when asked for those
emails by the State Department, did she decide to wipe her server and
delete her emails? Podesta’s memo doesn’t clear the situation up for the
American people; it raises new and very disturbing questions.
All
of the disclosures and evidence that have leaked throughout the course
of this scandal point in the same direction. Hillary Clinton and her
team were intentionally trying to cover up something (or many things),
and once they were discovered covering their tracks – they immediately
resorted to lying in an attempt to stave off justice.
Instead of asking whether or not Hillary Clinton belongs in prison (she does) we need to be asking... what in the world has she been working so hard to cover up?
