We've learned that the Republican establishment in Washington is going to spend big money to defeat Warren Davidson (R-OH), the conservative candidate running for Congress in Ohio's 8th district.
A new nonprofit group called Right Way announced last week that it will spend at least $450,000 backing Tim Derickson, a state representative who they believe will be more "constructive" in how he works with GOP leaders.
Tim Derickson is not someone we can rely on to stand up to the big spenders in both parties. He voted for Medicaid expansion, Hollywood subsidies, tax hikes on fracking, and to raise his own pay.
Also, the Defending Main Street super PAC announced that it will spend over $100,000 attacking Warren Davidson. A report last year showed that almost all of the money this PAC spent in 2014 came from organized labor.

This race is significant because the winner will replace John Boehner (R-OH) who vacated the seat after he was forced to resign as Speaker of the House. The last thing DC insiders want is for the seat to be filled by a conservative who will join the House Freedom Caucus and fight for our principles.
The battle lines have been clearly drawn in this race and it's very important for conservatives to take action. The race is on March 15 -- less than two weeks from now -- and what we do today will determine the outcome.

Right Way is not required to disclose its donors so we have no idea who is funding it, but it's safe to assume that U.S. Chamber types are behind it. They certainly don't want another principled conservative in Congress.
Warren Davidson is the real deal. He graduated at the top of his class at West Point and served our country as an officer in the Army's Old Guard, the 75th Ranger Regiment, and the 101st Airborne Division.
He supports all of our policy goals and will fight to repeal Obamacare, balance the budget, stop amnesty, and defend the Constitution.
