Major League Snow Job
Forecast to Stop Tax Repeal Efforts

It
might still be hot August nights in Nevada, but get ready for the Mother of All
Blizzards!
No,
I'm not talking about that white stuff that falls from the sky on Christmas.
I'm
talking about the major league snow job - with a blizzard of propaganda - that
Gov. Brian Sandoval is about to unleash on Nevada voters in his efforts to
persuade them not to support the referendum to repeal his
largest-in-Nevada-history tax hike; an obscene $1.4 billion monstrosity that
includes a new gross receipts tax similar to the one 80 percent of Nevada
voters rejected just last November.
The
Armageddon-like propaganda campaign will be enough to make Jonathan Gruber -
the liberal propagandist who admits to lying to the American people in order to
pass ObamaCare - proud. And we already
know who Sandoval's "Gruber" is.
Liberal
blogger Jon Ralston has now inked not one, not two, not three, but four full
blog posts loaded with ad hominem attacks on those who support the repeal -
topped off with a heapin' helpin' of scorn and ridicule.
In
his most recent blog post on the subject, published by the Reno
Gazette-Journal, Ralston referred to tax repeal supporters as “losers,” “cuckoos”
and “a small ignorant bunch on the far right.”
The left-wing partisan is clearly a mouthpiece for the Sandoval
administration who relishes his role as the establishment’s media attack dog.
But
the chief propagandist - using his gubernatorial soapbox and taxpayer dollars -
will eventually be Sandoval himself.
Indeed
Sandoval is already in hyper-drive trying to persuade Nevadans that the end of
the world as we know it - worse even than a nuclear winter! – will rain down
upon the state should we, the people, vote for what would amount to a $667
million per year tax cut.
Children
won't get an education. Seniors will
die. The poor will starve. And puppies will be drowned in burlap sacks. A world-class propaganda campaign to make
even the most shameless of bleeding-heart liberals blush.
Look,
here’s the thing: Sandoval already had his chance to make the case for his
outrageous $1.4 billion tax-and-spend budget.
It was called the "2014 Campaign."
Instead,
he hid his scheme from the citizens of Nevada and waited until after the
election to strong-arm, cajole and “bribe” state legislators to shove this tax
hike down our collective throats.
He's
had his say and he got his way. Now the
people of Nevada will get the chance to have the last word.
With
all due respect, instead of actively trying to thwart the will of the people,
the governor ought to sit down, shut up and let the people decide. After all, we're the ones who have to pay the
bill!
