Roberson, Kieckhefer, Brower…Benedict Arnolds (Janine Hansen) – What high hopes Republicans had when, for the first time in recent history, the Republicans took both houses of the Nevada Legislature. It’s difficult to grasp the extent of the betrayal by the Republican Senate leadership of their own Party, our state and even our nation, playing out at this moment at the State Nevada Legislature. The treachery of the Nevada Senate Triumvirate, Senators Michael Roberson, Ben Kieckhefer and Greg Brower, is astonishing!  They have orchestrated the largest tax increase in Nevada history through the Senate. The question must be asked why elect Republicans? At this moment: Senator Brower is blocking AB148 Campus Carry, denying students who are over 21 and with Concealed Carry Permits the right to defend themselves on campus. The tragedy of Amanda Collins’ brutal rape on campus, who was denied the right to defend herself, must be meaningless in Brower’s world.  If he’s willing to tread underfoot her right to defend herself…what about your rights? Brower is also refusing to give hearings to other pro-second amendment bills including: AB139, AB404 and AB357. With our gun rights under assault by the White House and even the United Nations, it is desperately important that our Second Amendment Rights be recognized and secured by our own Nevada Legislature. Instead, we have Greg Brower…the Benedict Arnold of the Second Amendment refusing to give these important gun bills a hearing. How many Republicans knew that Brower would betray their Right to Keep and Bear Arms when they voted for him in November 2014? Call Senator Brower and ask him why he is refusing to hear AB148 Campus Carry.  Ask him why he is opposed to defending our Second Amendment Rights? 775-684-1419 Greg.Brower@sen.state.nv.us At this moment: Senator Ben Kieckhefer as the Chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, has bottled up AB405 Parental Notification on Abortion. AB405 should not even be in Finance. The Triumvirate put it there to kill it. AB405 provides that parents be notified when their minor daughter is to have the serious surgical procedure of an abortion. Ben Kieckhefer…the Benedict Arnold of Parental Rights is refusing to allow a hearing on AB405. To get an aspirin, tattoos, ear piercing or a suntan at a salon, minors must have parental consent. What’s wrong with this picture? Is Kieckhefer blocking this bill to protect Planned Parenthood who preys on frightened little girls? Even pro-choicers think parents should be notified. Call Senator Kieckhefer and ask him why he is refusing to re-refer AB405 to Senate Health and Human Service and give it a hearing.
